We have travel insurance. We always suggest clients insure their possessions as well. We offer a professional service and we guarantee our work against breakages.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I wanted to work for myself, and work outside, travelling around, and meeting lots of people. I wanted to connect with others and be of service to them. I love what I do, and get great pride and satisfaction from a job well-done.

I moved a lady from a storage unit into her new apartment. The items included a piano and a motorbike, and many boxes. She was very stressed and worried, as she had waited a long time for her settlement. When we finished she was very grateful and thanked us lots, saying that we had made it so easy for her!

The satisfaction of seeing people happily moved into their new homes.  The challenge of getting the job done right.  Making sure that the customer does not have to stress about the move, knowing we will do it all for them, properly!

What happens when it rains? Answer: we cover your furniture with plastic. Should I water my pot plants before the move? Answer: No, it makes them very heavy and they leak all over your furniture in the truck. When do I empty and turn off my fridge? Answer: The very last minute, as the fridge will be the last item on and first item off.

1. Pack up as much yourselves as you can.  2. Use proper removalists boxes, as they are much sturdier and of a standard size. 3. Tell us in advance about access: how many stairs are there? Is it a steep site, or a third floor unit? 4. Let us know if you have valuable items that need special care.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Blue Ribbon Removals accepts cash and eftpos transactions. We can provide written quotes, tax invoices and receipts to all our valued clients. For a large job, especially when booked several months in advance, we ask for a 10% deposit, via eftpos.

We specialise in large domestic moves, and are able to offer experienced staff to make it easy for families to move to their new homes. We also specialise in antiques, and valuable and delicate items.
