Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes my business is insured.  Being a tax agent it is a requirement of the law to have the appropriate level of professional indemnity insurance.  This also applies to my Certificate of Public practice that I hold through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

I enjoy the flexibility of my work the most.  I am available to clients 24/7, not just between office hours.  On top of this, I have the luxury of being able to do work for my clients whenever I choose, without being locked in to a set time.  I can also work wherever I choose which is pretty good too!

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

As a Chartered Accountant I have extensive knowledge in tax and accounting and this knowledge can be used to assist your business with its bookkeeping requirements.  I know what accounting firms want and I know how to give it to them.  I can also work online, at your place or mine!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Would you please provide info on the nature of the job eg. Tax return, bookkeeping, BAS prep etc. and if the work is a once off job or ongoing.  I would also be interested in knowing how many hours work you think would roughly be involved in the job.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

My pricing is competitive because it is charged monthly at a fixed price, so the client will know how much the bill will be before the work is done.  Also, the monthly fee allows the client to pay the bill over the course of the year instead of one lump sum which can be detrimental to any business.  The client also gets 24/7 access to me through this pricing structure, should they have any questions along the way!  Being a small business, I know how important it is to be flexible so I can also offer an hourly rate to clients who would prefer this option!

How do you normally charge for your service?

For bookkeeping and BAS preparation and lodgement services, I charge clients monthly with a fixed price.  This allows the client to know exactly how much the costs will be and they can budget for this.  Being a monthly fee allows the client to pay the bill in small increments, as the old saying goes in business cash is king!  For tax return clients, an hourly fee will be charged, dependent on what is required in the return.

For bookkeeping and BAS clients, I specialise in micro and small businesses for startups to people looking to advance to the next stage and require help to get there.  For tax return clients, I specialise in individual tax returns.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I am a Chartered Accountant as well as a Registered Tax Agent.  Being a tax agent allows me to not only lodge business activity statements, but tax returns as well.
