Yes I'm insured for Professional Indemnity to cover off on any defects, in terms of a guarantee if I've made a genuine mistake on your return then I'll amend it free of charge.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a teenager in high school I always had a knack for numbers and I always loved getting a bargain on things (I still do!), so being a Tax Agent / Accountant seemed like a fairly logical choice to me.

I enjoy meeting all kinds of people in every different aspect of work and life, being a tax agent allows me to meet many different clientele that have all kinds of interesting jobs/business activities.

I offer a mobile service, so you don't have to travel anywhere and I can meet you in the comfort of your own home. I bring everything that is required to sort out your tax affairs.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Ideally I'd need to know the number of group certificates (employers) you have had for the year, any investments (rentals/shares), Capital Gains on sale of property, shares or other investments, if you ran a business at all and if your record keeping is up to date.

If you prepare a concise summary of your own records then that helps out immensely. Making sure you reconcile your bank accounts so they match your record keeping. Consider using cloud based record keeping such as Quickbooks Online to help streamline your accounts.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

If you refer a friend, that becomes a client, then I'll refund the first year of my fee up to the $99 for a Basic Return. So if you are a small business and your fee is $400 for the year, I'll rebate $99 of that back to you. It's my welcoming gift to you and your friends.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I think for $99 for a basic return there is quite a lot of value in the fact that I travel to see you (saves you travel time) and generally I have a catch up for 1 hour and in this time I'll run through tax planning and tips for future financial years.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

$99 for a Basic Individual Return. Small business tax returns are $300 to $600 for the year.  BAS and GST reconciliations are $100 to $200.

I love being able to help individuals who work in a vocational trade such as Plumbers, Carpenters, Electricians and Bricklayers.

I've been preparing tax returns for the past 10 years and I've dealt with all sizes of businesses, large and small. Ongoing training and keeping updated with the ever changing tax rules is important to stay on top of the game.
