Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I am fully insured - my work is 100% guaranteed as I am a perfectionist and ensure that all loose ends are tied.  I have to adhere to a strict code of conduct in the performance of my duties as, failing to do so, can result in my licence as a celebrant being revoked.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After accepting a redundancy from my 9-5 office job, I wanted to do something that challenged my creative mind.  I knew a Celebrant when living in another State and loved what he did - Since becoming a Celebrant myself, I have never looked back and am thoroughly enjoying my new career.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

All of my ceremonies have their own story to tell, and I really do not have a favourite, I enjoyed them all equally.  I have been lucky that all of my clients have "clicked" with me and that I, in turn have "clicked" with them, making them all very memorable occasions

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy meeting people and have met a very diverse bunch since I started as a Celebrant just 3 years ago.  Some of those people have become friends who still contact me to this day

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What experience to you have? Can you give me some example of your work?  All of my past work is advertised on my website and FB page, with all the feedback etc...  My past experience speaks for itself, be it for a wedding, naming ceremony, commitment ceremony or a funeral.

What do you offer for the quoted fee is a very commonly asked question - I have a very detailed Statement of Fees which includes all that I offer as well as all my conditions.  I also go through all aspects of the ceremony very thoroughlly

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I have officiated at many ceremonies and, in all cases, have had excellent feedback.  I understand that I provide a valuable service to society and strive to be the best at what I do by always trying to better myself.  I am also very trustworthy as I take confidentiality very seriously.

As a Celebrant, I always give 100% to all my clients, irrespective of the size of the job.  I am open to all my clients' wishes and suggestions to ensure that they get exactly what they want always.  I believe in CELEBRATING YOU ....

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

When, where and what are very important - I need to check whether I am available or not - and the location of the ceremony sometimes determines the cost.  As well as what the client is after in a ceremony (whether personalised or "registry type")

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

All my couples get a booklet with all sorts of ideas, tips etc.. about ceremonies, which should answer a lot of frequently asked questions.  I download and play all the music for the various ceremonies (except funerals) and supply a signing table/chairs and PA, hence saving costs.

Not at the moment - I believe that my fee is very competitive and, because I offer more within my services than most Celebrants, I am confident that they will find my quotes very reasonable and acceptable

What makes your pricing competitive?

Working from home and being very diverse in what I do allows me to keep my costs as low as possible.  I am also very aware of not undercutting other celebrants within the region.  I believe that my fee is within the average price range

How do you normally charge for your service?

Each ceremony involves a certain amount of man hours - there are also other industry associated costs, such as membership to a reputable organisation, annual OPD, maintenance of resources as well as maintaining an office.  All of these costs are carefully factored into the equation

I am not only a very experienced Wedding Celebrant, I also officiate at Naming Ceremonies, Renewal of Vows, Commitment Ceremonies as well as Funerals - I have a reputation of being one of the best at what I do ...

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have successfully completed a Certificate IV in Celebrancy and have been appointed as an Authorised Marriage Celebrant by the Commonwealth of Australia.  Since then, I have officiated a quite a few weddings all with excellent feedback
