Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I am fully insured through my Professional Organisation, the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants Inc.  I am a perfectionist who ensure that all aspects of your ceremony is taken care of.  I have nothing but satisfied clients, irrespective of the type of ceremony that I officiate at.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

It is a job that I have always wanted to do, as it helps me use my creative side to a maximum.  When I left my Public Service job, I decided to give it a go, with the full support of all my family and friends, who all thought that it was tailor-made for me.  Best decision that I have ever made ....

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My most memorable ceremony was one that I officiated at 1300Smiles Stadium.  The bride is a Cowboys Supporter - Officiating on the day, on this hallowed turf, was truly a wonderful experience.  And the fact that the boys turned up for training during the rehearsal was an added bonus!!!

What do you like most about your job?

My job is so rewarding and extremely fulfilling in the fact that I get to meet varying people from all walks of life.  Usually at the completion of the job, my clients have become friends.  Every job is different ...

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Questions are as follows:  Are you qualified - Are you available - What are your fees - Are you insured? -  Do you take care of all the legalities - Do you travel -  Can you personalise our ceremony - Can you advise on music choices, writing vows etc...

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Couples are usually unsure of their legal requirements - during our first meeting, I cover every single aspect of what is expected of them and what is expected of me.  This ensures that we are fully aware of how things will proceed pending the big day.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I ensure that I only officiate at the one ceremony on any given day, which means that you will have my full focus and attention.  I am always at least 3/4 hr early at any ceremony, taking the time to liaise with various other professionals, such as the arranger or the photographer ....

I have a proven track record of giving excellent service.  I am very approachable, flexible, easy going and endowed with a great sense of humour.  I work with you as I believe in CELEBRATING YOU. I also offer a lot of extras, such as downloading of songs for the ceremony.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I need to know the date of the wedding, the location and the type of wedding that you are looking for.  The date is the most crucial part as I need to ensure that I am available.  The location and the type of ceremony impact on my fees.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

I account for every single penny charged. And I also have a lot of resources available for my couples giving them advice and tips on a lot of matters pertaining to marriages. I include a lot of extras that the couple does not need to think about

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

All of my couples receive a bound booklet of their ceremony - I also download the music for the ceremony at no extra charge.  I believe that my fees as very reasonable and I also have flexible payment plans.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I am not the cheapest, but neither am I the most expensive Celebrant.  My fees reflect the costs incurred in running a small business like mine.  Working from home and owning all of my equipment helps keep my costs to a minimum

How do you normally charge for your service?

I have various packages based on a lot of factors - my fees range from $250.00 to $475.00. You will be given a comprehensive statement of fees at our first meeting outlining all charges etc..

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I am very flexible and work with couples to ensure that their wishes for their special day are met.  I am sensitive to matters of race and religion and willing to incorporate any cultural belief of the couples into my ceremonies.  Just ask about it at our first meeting, which is obligation free

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I am a fully qualified and current Commonwealth Marriage Celebrant.  I also go the extra mile to ensure that your day is just as you envisaged.  I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants and am fully insured in matters such as Professional Indemnity and Public Liability.
