I am fully insured. I have never let a client down yet. I am flexible to changing circumstances such as change of date or time. This is some times due to visa requirements

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I had done readings at wedding ceremonies and conducted a few funeral services. Friends commented that I always presented myself very confidently and suggested that I may like to consider taking up celebrant work in an official capacity. Since qualifying, I have found my role very rewarding.

"You may kiss your handsome husband" is what one bride had me say after initially saying to the groom,"You may kiss your beautiful bride". The guests were really amused.

What do you like most about your job?

This job is so wonderful as it is a day full of happiness for the couple getting married and I get to be a major part of that. The joy expressed by family and friends who are present on the day is also contagious.

A marrying couple may ask what Celebrant services do I provide when giving guidance to them getting married? This would most certainly include an enquiry about price.

They often ask how long will the ceremony last and what documents do I need to bring to the first interview.

I am friendly but efficient with a good sense of humour. I have conducted many ceremonies, both large and small and I have always been very professional in dealing with all the legal requirements as well as the competent manner in which I have conducted the wedding ceremony

I am a friendly, confident and professional person. My role is to create ceremonies that reflect the desires, beliefs and personalities of the couple getting married. I am happy to conduct a range of ceremony types from large, formal celebrations to small, intimate occasions in people's homes.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Before providing a completely fixed quote, I need to know the date, the time of the ceremony and the proposed venue. Also the size of the guest list and if special rituals are needed; these will influence my quote.

Accepted Answer

Firstly, a customer should  have all their ID documents available: birth certificate, passport and driver's licence. Next, have a decided venue booked; Thirdly, the day and date can have a big impact on cost. These are all major issues to consider when planning a wedding and can have a huge influence on the day.

The wedding ceremony should reflect the wishes of the couple getting married so I will always follow their lead as to exactly what they want. However, I will also give suggestions if asked for. So my offer is always to provide a personalized wedding ceremony for the marrying couple.

I feel I give realistic quotes for the very professional services I provide. Compared to the overall cost of a wedding, my fees are very reasonable.

I usually charge a flat fee based on the information provided by the person requiring my services. At times this may increase, depending on travelling distance or if any special rituals are to be included.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I really like small intimate weddings.This provides the opportunity for everyone to be closely involved in the ceremony and the following congratulations and celebrations. However, having said that I have also really enjoyed being part of several grand weddings with a large wedding party and many family and friends being part of the special day.

I have been a celebrant since 2009. I attained my celebrant qualification from the Academy of Celebrancy Australia. I have performed a range of marriages, funerals, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies in the last 11 years.
