I have business insurance. As a registered civil celebrant if you are unhappy with any aspect of my service you are entitled to make a complaint to my registering authority.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was engaged only a few weeks when  I attended a wedding where the ceremony was officiated by a close friend of the couple getting married. I thought "what a fabulous idea"  so i asked my aunty to marry my partner and I - and both her and I went off to become qualified celebrants.

I just love meeting loved up couples! Everyone I work with is happy, excited and genuinely a pleasure to be around.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

When you meet a celebrant you should ask them about their experience. You should share your ideas about your big day and ask them if they feel that they can help you create the wedding that you envisage.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

You need to Lodge your Notification of Intention to Marry form at least a month prior to your set wedding date. Any later than that and I can not witness it, it must go to the court for a shortening of time (and this isn't always guaranteed unless you have a good reason).

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I am always on time (and usually earlier just to account for any mishaps). I take my job very seriously, the legalities may be boring for you, but, they are what matters at the end of the day and I ensure that everything runs smoothly.

I was recently married myself, I understand what its like and I have experience with various services I can recommend.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I need to know the date and location that you are looking for celebrant services so I can first check my availability.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I only charge for travel if it is excessive, otherwise I have a flat rate with no hidden added extras. My fee includes the PA system that I bring that can play your music and also a signing table.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I have a standard fee for my celebrant services ($450), I do adjust it slightly higher for peak demand and extensive travel and I also lower the price for off peak (winter and midweek) services. Contact with your date to find out your exact price.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have extensive experience public speaking, training groups and being on stage. I also have a history in customer service, and I understand that as the customer it is my job to tailor a service that is exactly what you ask for. Because at the end of the day, nobody knows you better than you.
