We are covered by professional indemnity insurance as all registered tax agents are required to do. We are also covered for public liability insurance We guarantee our work

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I grew up very poor and we often had to get assistance from charities and lived in public housing for most of my life with a lot of domestic violence and alcoholism and one of my mums friend was an accountant and always had money. Ever since then I have always wanted to be an accountant

I had a client that I have been doing their tax returns for nearly 18 years and their son has been coming to the appointments nearly his whole life and he recently told me he was going to university to study accounting because I have helped his family so much over the years

I love talking to people and talking with them about their business. You meet so many interesting and different people and their businesses and no two businesses are ever the same or have the same problems and the constant differences are fascinating to me

The key questions any customer should ask of their accountant or themselves about their accountant are as follows: How much is this going to cost, trust me, ask an accountant that and see how they answer Do I know, like and trust this accountant. If not, why stay?

If I have such a big profit, how come I don't have that money in the bank. Profit is an accounting term determined by the Australian Taxation Office and this does not match cashflow because of the movements in Debtors, creditors, stock, Work in Progress , repayment of debt and purchase of assets

We are a firm of 9 people and we rarely if ever advertise and we rely on word of mouth. Our reliability and trustworthiness are key values of the firm and are a focus of our continuing relationship with our existing clients and referrals from those clients

Are you a small business who wants an accountant who will talk to you, other accountants wont answer your phone calls or respond to your emails but we give out the mobile phone numbers of our directors to clients to ensure they are always responded to.

A customer can always save money if they focus on three things: Reconciling the bank account in their accounting software at the end of each month Reconciling their Payment Summaries lodged with the BAS's Lodged and their accounting firle Reconciling the GST at year end with the BAS's lodged

Our pricing is extremely competitive because we keep our organisation lean and do not have the big fancy offices, excess employees or wages to the directors partners or kids who do not work in the business. We don't drive Porsche's and we don't expect our clients to pay for our Porsche

Our fees are usually charged on a time basis, but we have a process of working out fees in advance which allows us to with a few simple questions be able to give people a price to cover off everything they require.
