Clients ask what is likely to happen with their matter - after one consultation we can give an idea about what the likely result might be. We are asked what our fees are - this depends on the matter but generally we are much more cost efficient than larger firms.

We need to know whether you want to negotiate settlement or whether you want to go to court. If you are in court, we need to know what stage the matters is at and what current orders are. We also need to know if it is a parenting, property or domestic violence matter or all of those areas.

You can write up a summary of your relationship - how you met, what your relationship was like and what happened after separation. You can also compile a schedule of all of your assets and liabilities with their current values. You can also try to negotiate prior to speaking with us.

We are a boutique firm and do not have large overheads. We provide a fixed fee so that we are able to focus on getting results for you, rather then dragging your matter out to charge you more. Our practice focusses wholly on family law so we can provide a fixed fee for all out work.

We charge on a fixed fee basis. Traditional law firms charge on an hourly basis and you are billed every time you speak with them or write a letter. As we charge on a fixed fee, that you will be provided with a quote up front and that will cover the work that you have engaged us to do.
