How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Our passion for health and fitness, and wanting to pass on our knowledge and experience to others that wanted to start their own health and fitness journey. The most satisfying feeling is seeing a person who you have built a great relationship with reach their fitness goals.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

An overweight and shy woman came to us wanting to not only lose weight, but build her confidence as she had become afraid to go out in public. She had the goal of fitting into her favourite pair of jeans that she use to wear religiously and achieved it in just over 14 weeks! she lost 16 kilos and her health improved dramatically! She now has more energy and confidence to get out and do the things she loves.

What do you like most about your job?

Helping people who are having trouble starting their health and fitness journey just like us, and guiding these people through that journey. We are always on our feet, meeting new people and enjoy the challenges that each person brings.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We are qualified and experienced, having done just about every program and training style out there. But most importantly, we pay attention to our clients! Too often we see even the most experienced trainers not being receptive to their clients, which is not only affecting the progress of the client, but increasing the risk of injury.  We really stress the importance of proper form to prevent injury and target the right areas.

We take a holistic approach to health and fitness and provide more value by offering our clients personalised programs, buddy packages and take-away programs. We have many more years of experience than most local trainers and don't just have the piece of qualified paper. We are also accessible at all times for general health and fitness advice.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Tip #1 - find any reason to get off the couch! even if you're still watching tv try standing up for longer periods.  Tip #2 - make exercise a priority, even if it's a day out involving the family. Tip #3 - cut out all the processed foods. I'm sure you've heard it time and time again, but there are a lot of "healthy" foods that still cause more harm than good which many people aren't aware of.

We specialise in pre and postpartum (pregnancy), weight loss and strength training, particularly middle aged people who are looking to focus on these aspects for confidence, mobility and general wellbeing.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We are both qualified Personal Trainers (Certificate III and IV), with additional qual's in first aid and CPR. I (Laurence) have competed in weightlifting competitions and have extensive knowledge around strength / resistance training, as well as conditioning and injury rehabilitation having played various sports in the past. Sri has experience with Crossfit style training that incorporates cardio and focuses on toning. She has helped women lose post-pregnancy weight, and help people get in shape for that upcoming event or everyday life with the kids.
