How did you decide to get into your line of work?

When we relocated to Mornington Peninsula after selling our restaurant/bar in the country, I didn't want to be stuck in onsite premises, in another restaurant. But I also didn't want to stop delighting people with my food. Havng a catering company creates the best solution.

What do you like most about your job?

Cooking is hard work when it isn't appreciated. When our clients are delighted with what we have provided them, the job becomes a pleasure.

I don't think it is a matter of what questions clients should ask. I believe that the most vital factor is - Do you get a feel that the service professional understands what you want, and that you believe they will deliver according to what you want.

How much? The answer is "How long is a piece of string?" The best way we can assist clients is to know their budget, and what their expectations are from that budget. Then we can assist or not, if their expectations are unrealistic.

Custom Cater has been specifically created to provide the best service to our clients. It is an absolute requirement that only the best, freshest and locally sourced produce is provided. Anything less than perfect is unacceptable.

Everyone can cook, at least to a certain degree, but when it comes to having a party, it really is hard work. Custom Cater works with you, so that you can sit back and enjoy your special event. We will produce the food that you would do if you had the time, energy and inclination.

We need to know the date of the event, the time food is to be served, style of event and preferably the budget.

What makes your pricing competitive?

There is no value to anyone of offering our services, and for it to not be affordable. We work out with our clients what there budget is, and once we've created the style of catering they would like, we are able to price it within their budget.

All of our offerings are created specially to suit the event. We simply calculate the cost of time and ingredients, and offer it to our clients at a price line that is affordable, and makes it worth your while to engage Custom Catering.

Flavour and Spice! You won't find anything bland or out of a packet at Custom Cater. We concentrate on creating mouth watering food for our clients.

Custom Cater was created by Debbie, who until June 2017 owned a restaurant/bar in Regional Victoria. Upon returning to Mornington Peninsula, Debbie decided to create a catering and events company, utilising the skills she used in the restaurant/bar.
