We have current public liability insurance to $10M for your peace of mind and guarantee all our workmanship and materials to the highest industry standard.  We are members of the Queensland Master Plumbers Association and are QBCC licensed.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Dean is the owner of the company and an extremely practical man who can fix just about anything in a home ... he decided to train as a plumber and has truly enjoyed the work with it's variety not only in the jobs undertaken but also with the people he meets.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Is the trades person licensed to undertake the type of work required? Will the trades person submit the correct paperwork to the correct Councils? Will the trades person give a guarantee/warranty? Is the trades person insured should they damage your home or a person? Will they arrive on time?

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

I've got no hot water - check the power supply to your hot water/lift the relief valve on the hot water unit and if the water inside the hot water unit is cold, you probably need an electrician to check your thermostat or element.  If the water is hot then you need a plumber to check the valves

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

To enable an accurate quote to your problem, photos can be very helpful aswell as a brief description of the problem you are having including brand names of taps or toilets etc.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

To save a call out fee, before giving us a call to repair a burst pipe at your property, you can first check everything that uses water is turned off and then check the water meter for signs of movement.  If it doesn't move over a 5-10 min period, it's highly unlikely to be a burst pipe but could be a neighbours running onto your property.   Flush the toilet regularly to ensure waste doesn't block your sewer and never put anything down the toilet or drains that could cause a blockage ... you'd be surprised what we find! Try not to over tighten taps as this causes washers and seatings in taps to wear quickly and will mean a plumbers needs to fix these more frequently.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We are very competitively priced for the service we offer.  We are fully licensed and carry all the correct licenses to carry out any gas, plumbing or drainage work.  We have public liability cover as well as work cover for our staff.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We usually charge a service fee which covers the call out and the first half hour of labour and then an hourly fee thereafter.  On larger jobs we provide a free quote and then submit a written quote.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

We have a dedicated gas fitter, leak detector, blocked drainage specialist and six fully stocked vehicles ready to solve all of your gas, plumbing and drainage needs.  We also carry out plumbing for brand new homes and bathroom and kitchen renovations.
