Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

There is a 12 month guarantee on all our work.  It is all done according to Australian Standards.  We do not have insurance as we have never had a problem or need for it.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

i was not interested in going to school so i decided i wanted a trade. My employer at the time was a builder and i had a few options. I chose plastering as there will always be holes or cracks to repair or new homes to build.

A few years ago i did a maintenance repair job and the wife baked me a cake to take home for the family in gratitude for the friendly service and quality of work.

All the different style homes that i work in and seeing the clients response and gratitude on their faces once the job is completed.

The questions that should be asked are: 1. How long have you been in that industry. 2. What qualifications do you have.  3.  Do you guarantee all your work.

I work with my wife and It is a family business.  We are very reliable, honest, trustworthy and sincere.  We both have a good eye for detail.

They should hire me for the friendly service that I provide.  The clients always have quality in the workmanship, where i only provide top workmanship that i would do in my own home on other peoples homes.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

If it is a new home - the square meterage of the home, what type of cornices they would like, and what board they prefer in the wet areas.  If a repair - the type of repair and size.

My prices are very competitive for the quality of work the client receives.  I charge accordingly to each specific job with no set rate in mind.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Depending on what work  is required, whether it be a repair or new home, i charge accordingly to the work required.  There is no set fee as all jobs are different, therefore i quote accordingly.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

i specialize in plastering, both new and old homes, extensions, ornamental cornice work and rosettes, all type of plaster repairs, and suspended ceilings.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Accepted Answer

I am a qualified plasterer with trade papers from trade school.  I have been plastering for the last 32 years.  I am also very handy at other skills ie: painting, tiling and some building.
