How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was actually working as an interior designer when I was doing alot of my friends hair and makeup, and then went on to do my first certificate course and from their it lead me to complete my diploma, 2 years later.

My Favourite would have to be my client Rosanne, who's hair and makeup artist cancelled on the day of her brothers wedding. I was on my way home from a hair and makeup job, when I received the call early on in the morning, sounding distressed and anxious, she asked if i was available to do 6 people for a wedding in my local area, as her artist cancelled. I was lucky enough to get one of my assistants to help me with the hair, and bang, we got the job done! I was called an "Angel" that day. I love to help out, and they were such a beautiful family!

I love that I can create different looks on each client and tailor a specific look to their needs, whether it be for their wedding, engagement, formal or even an event makeup i love my job!

What brands of makeup do you use? This is the most asked question, but for me its not about the brand, its about what the product does to the client. I use all different types of prestige brands from: Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, MAC, Ben Nye, NARS, Benefit, just to name a few

Being in the industry for over 15 years, I see alot of inexperienced hair & makeup artists, charging around the same price as I am only to find out they have little experience in the services I am providing, such as bridal/special occasion.

I received my diploma of makeup over 13 years ago, and since then have done many courses with the best makeup artists in the industry. I have my cert III in hairdressing, as well as completed many long hair styling courses also.
