How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Throughout high school (awhile ago now), I could never play an instrument, so I stood at the CD player and pressed play. I was able to create a great atmosphere and really enjoyed seeing everyone having fun, so I kept doing it.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I don't have a favourite story as every event is unique and I enjoy myself when I see my client happy.

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy listening to all sorts of music but the best thing is looking out at a full dance floor seeing everyone enjoying themselves. Especially when the crowd get together and start singing along, then I know I've done my job right.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Length of time the event will run for, location, date required and any special requests (like weather proof or cordless speakers, extra lighting for outdoors or other unusual requirements like if you need me to appear in costume!!)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Have a clear idea of what you require for your event. For example; wireless mic, battery powered speakers, lighting effects etc.  2. If you are hiring somewhere to hold your event, look at any restrictions they may have before you decide on that location. For example, noise time limits, limited power distribution, smoke/haze and other effect restrictions 3. Communicate with me (and any others) throughout the lead up/planning. We have done this before and may have helpful advice.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

Oneflare customers will receive 10% off of their total cost of their booking for any event. This includes any special effects you wish to include.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

With me you will only pay for the services you require. You won't be charged a set amount, rather you only pay for what you need ie; extra lighting, outdoor PA systems and special effects. If you don't want them, you're not paying for them!

How do you normally charge for your service?

It is dependent on what services the client requires. For example; a wedding reception including music with basic lighting for 5 hrs is around $500.00.  Contact me and discuss your event in detail for more information.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I mostly specialise in wedding receptions and parties. I also do PA mixing for small bands and for community events. Pretty much anything that requires music or sound and lighting.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been a DJ for a long time (since the 90's). I enjoy all genres of music and am willing to go searching for "that song" to make your event. I also do lighting, effects and sound for bands and community events. I regularly do Weddings, School Dances, Birthday Parties and Community events.
