I am an insured business with Guild Insurance and a registered with Fitness Australia. It is up to the individual to commit to a training session and follow the expertise of myself - a Personal Training. I guarantee with Personal Training that you will receive support to reach your goals.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My mother died of heart disease and complications with diabetes. I was told by a DR that I don't have to end up like my mother and through regular exercise and good nutrition, I could lead a very healthy lifestyle free of disease and illness. I also have mild scoliosis and RSI, the RSI came about when I was working as an accounts clerk. For those reasons, I decided on a career change as a Personal Trainer, which improved my own limitations greatly and I am not at risk for heart disease or diabetes.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One customer had told me that they didn't know that there was so many exercises that they could do using a dynaband. This particular client at arthritis, and found using dynabands instead of weights helped her develop strength in her muscles without the use of weights which she found hard to grip.

Educating others in adopting a life that includes regular exercise and good nutrition so that they can be the best that they can be and enjoy life.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What experience do you have? I have extensive experience in the fitness industry - 16 years, I have had a lot of clients from people wanting to lose weight, increasing muscle, improving their fitness or better managing their chronic illness or injury. I have a past injury could an exercise program help me? Of course, I will want to know about that type of injury, I have a lot of knowlege about various injuries and are able to put a rehabilitation program together that takes into account your injury. I may even work with your specialist or treating doctor so that you get the best tailored program for you.

Do you provide nutritional advice? Yes within my scope of practice. What do I wear? Comfortable clothing; tights/shorts, shirt, and running/walking shoes. Bring a water bottle.

I am credible, have a very good reputation in the fitness industry. I am reliable and committed to my clients, so they have good value for money, a safe exercise program and ongoing support to reach their goals.

I have the expertise, qualifications and experience. I provide quality Personal Training, who is focused on the client's goals and objectives.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

My prices are listed, if customers would like to join an exercise class, that could be arranged as long as there is a minimum of 5 people. I work in school terms only.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

Know what their goals are, if they have a pre-existing medical condition, high blood pressure etc, obtaining a medical clearance prior to the exercise session is a requirement. If you are not sure, please call and I can let you know if this is required. Know what your injuries are.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

I offer a 20% discount to new clients if they were to purchase 10 x 1hr session packs (a saving of $180) or 5 x 1/2 hour session packs (a saving of $50). The 20% discount is applied to the normal hourly rate of $90 per hour or $50 per 1/2 hour. I do train up to three clients in a PT session, the rate could be split between each person. If there were more clients, please do not hesitate to discuss pricing options.

What makes your pricing competitive?

I have a high level of experience, qualifications (I am degree trained), and I am also insured and registered with Fitness Australia and Guild Insurance.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I charge via bank deposit, credit card or cash on the day of service. If you were to pay by bank deposit or credit card it would need to be paid two days before the training session.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I cater for all abilities of fitness, injury rehabilitation and prevention, strength training and running programs. I have a particular interest in trail running.

Certificate IV in Fitness, Fitness Diploma, Advanced Biomechanics, Bachelor of Health Science PDHPE. Over 16 years experience in gyms, community venues and in my own business leading exercise classes, writing programs, fitness assessments, Personal Training, and fall prevention courses. My clients are very loyal and share great feedback such as they have lost weight, gained muscle, are able to hike, ski, or run more than 5km.
