Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I have Insurance and I am held accountable, to provide a professional service, by the Governor Generals department. By law, it is my duty to supply my clients with a document they can follow, to make a formal complaint if a customer is unsatisfied with my services, which I include in my Wedding package. Every Bride & Groom have the right to have professional services conducted by a Registered Celebrant.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

With the experience I had in public speaking, writing, people skills and communication, I found it was the perfect combination to become a Marriage Celebrant. I am a happy person and what better way to share happiness to others, than to help couples achieve a wonderful Wedding Wedding day.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We were at the beach, during the Ceremony, it began to pour with rain. It was a small wedding and every one ran under the cover of a small pagoda. The children were a little sad that it rained, so I told them a story about mother nature, sending the rain as a gift. The rain waters everything making it grow, and she is sending this gift to our Bride and Groom to help their relationship grow and blossom. Every one was happy and we continued the ceremony in the pouring rain. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have conducted, and the couple was happy I invented a story the children could relate to.

What do you like most about your job?

I have the best job in the world! I think I am privileged to be part of a Bride and Grooms Wedding Day. I have a very important role and I take my role seriously, with a fun component. I enjoy every ceremony I help create, I love writing and delivering each individual Ceremony. They say if you love your work, you will never work a day in your life, and I love mine! I am affordable, friendly and help you achieve one of the best times of your life.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

It is important to ask what services the Marriage Celebrant offer and how long have they been a Celebrant.  This will really give you an indication of how experienced and professional their service may be. Ask to meet with the Celebrant, to see if they suit your needs. Everyone will want something different. Ask what the Celebrant fees cover, so you can get an idea of how much work goes into performing a Wedding. Listen to the Celebrant and decide if this is the one for you. Write down any questions you think of, so you have them ready to be answered when you talk over the phone or make contact via email.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Can we say our own Vows? Yes you can, though you don't have to, I have many ceremonies which will suit you.  Do we have to have witnesses? Yes you do, you need 2 witnesses over the age of 18. Who can give me away? These days, any one can give you away, traditionally your father gives you away, now you can have your mother, brother, friend etc. Where can I get a Justice of the Peace to sign our paperwork? I am a Justice of the Peace and can help you.

I am experienced and professional. I believe that giving my full attention to detail and considering my clients input, lets the Bride & Groom relax and they trust my judgement, when creating their dream ceremony.   This Wedding Ceremony is going to be remembered all their lives, I help them relax and enjoy creating it.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

My Bride and Grooms tell me after the ceremony, how I put them at ease, knowing I had everything under control and they were confident in me. Once we work out the ceremony, they can relax knowing I handle everything else. They have appreciated my help with arranging other things they may need too and I am so happy when I get wonderful feed back like that. I am polite, helpful, creative, resourceful, professional and Cheerful. What ever you want to achieve, I will find a way to make it happen. I have guests from previous Wedding calling me to Marry them, or to carry out Baby Namings. What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Most things can be discussed over the phone, but a Celebrant will want to know right away- Date & Time: Ensure your Celebrant is available, if you change the date or time, is your Celebrant available!  Location: What distance will you and your Celebrant travel? If your reception is a long way from the Wedding site how long does it take to get there? If you are going on your honey moon that day, make sure you leave plenty of time after your Wedding reception to get there, otherwise, stay the night so you can head of early. Venue: Your Celebrant will need to know your Wedding location, to familiarise with parking and layout etc.  Wedding Ceremony: What type of Ceremony, Religious or Non Religious? The number of guests? When I meet you both, we can discuss these and other things to get into the nitty gritty of it.

Every Bride and Groom want to save money on their Wedding. The truth is, when organising your Wedding, you get what you pay for. You can't get married without a Celebrant, they are important, so you want to get it right. I suggest you meet your Celebrant first to see if you click. Are they nice and do you think they are the type of person you want to deliver your ceremony on the most important day of your life? Talk through your ideas. A good Celebrant will listen and help incorporate your ideas into your Ceremony.   Talk about your budget, ask the celebrant what their fees are and how it suits your budget? I specialize in Beach Weddings. Living on the Sunshine Coast I know lots of little places couples would like to marry and I have married couples, in Chapels, Gardens, in their Homes, in Parks & Wedding Venues.  I really enjoy giving my couples ideas to use in ceremonies, from rituals, to inclusions for guests, friends, family members and remembering members of their family who have passed. If you are from another part of Australia, or from over seas, I can work with you, so you can get married here on the Sunshine Coast Queensland.

I am a Registered Authorised Marriage Celebrant, with many years of experience. I am a writer and an artist, so I love to create interesting Ceremonies and offer many resources. I have a Diploma of Applied Science (C& HS) and enjoy communication with people from all walks of life. I am also genuinely happy, and I like to share and spread a smile as often as possible, it may not be a requisite but my Brides and Grooms appreciate a happy reassuring smile and confidence.
