  My experience with Drytron was a bit disappointing. They quoted a price on the phone based on my detailed and accurate description of the house. I also asked if I needed to move furniture and they told me no, they took care of everything except book cases because they were too heavy. When the technician arrived on the day of the job, he said that it was going to cost more (he charged $30 more than I had been told on the phone), and I was under the impression that there was no good reason for this other than it was standard practice for them to get as much money out of clients as possible. Then he also said that his brief for the job said that he was only cleaning around the furniture, so he wasn't going to move anything. This meant that in our bedroom, he would only clean the narrow slice around the bed, yet we were being charged for a whole room. Overall, the technician did a good cleaning job, although the thoroughfares remained a bit darker than other areas.

  This service provider Quoted me $100 online to get the job, then $120 over the phone, changing it again when he arrived to $140. for a small flat. He arrived an hour late and then his attitude in regard to the change of prices was confrontational rather than polite and explanatory. Had I not already had everything moved for the cleaning and needed it done quickly, I would have gone with the other provider.

• Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

  Drytron specifically specialises in Carpet Upholstery and Drape cleaning. We do not provide any other services like tiles, grout, duct and window cleaning and so on. We would rather be the best at providing a particular service than be good/average at providing multiple services. With this approach, combined with almost 30 years experience, we are definitely the last word when it comes to carpet, upholstery and drape cleaning.

• How do you normally charge for your service?

  We charge $41 (inc GST) per standard bedroom (12 sqrmeters) and $40 (inc GST) per 1 upholstery seat. Every clean that we provide comes with the following standard procedure: Shifting of basic furniture, Vacuuming, Stain Removal, Sanitising, Deodorising and Anti-Allergen treatment. Therfore, we basically have no hidden charges. It’s all upfront, honest and a clear indication of the final outcome.
