Hi, We're Mark and Allie, we live in Queensland and getting married at the Pegasus Apart-Hotel on the 17/08/2017. We planned on eloping and marrying in Melbourne at the registry office but has since turned into a wedding with about 20 of our closest friends and family. Our plans have now changed and we are looking for a celebrant to marry us in a short and intimate ceremony. We do prefer email communication, its a lot easier as Mark works all shifts as a Police Officer so it's sometimes hard to discuss things with him at short notice. Thank you

Ernest is a wonderful celebrant. He is caring, concise and was always available to assist and offer advice. Ben and I are eternally greatful! Ernest made our wedding ceremony the happiest day of our lives. We strongly recommend his services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
All accredited Civil Celebrants have to adhere to the Marriage act and the guidelines that accompany it. They also have to comply with the Celebrants Code of Conduct so there is a minimum standard you should expect from a Civil Celebrant.
This leaves personal preference as your reason for selecting me over someone else.
I will deliver the service to the requirements you require and along the way you will find everything enjoyable.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
Trained by the Academy of Civil Celebrants.
Ongoing Personal Development means that I have to go back tgo training school for at least 1 day every year.
Constantly being updated by the Attorney Generals Department as well as AFCC forum.
Seperately trained in other aspects of Celebration including Funeral and Grief training.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
Specializing in Marriage Ceremonies that include a component of introducing the couple to the guests during which I strive to create an empathy between all parties.
How do you normally charge for your service?
I have a flat fee that covers everything. Naturally, that fee is different depending on a number of factors that include date and time, location and any other special requirements. When I submit a quotation I have already taken these things into consideration.
What makes your pricing competitive?
Because my quote is all inclusive there are no surprises.
i also recognize there has to be a value for money component and in an effort to add value I prepare the ceremony in a beautiful booklet form which I give my clients 3 copies of after the service as mementos to keep.
I also attend to the little things like ensuring your photographer has the right environment and encouragement to take those important photos and of course I interact with the audience, making them feel at ease as well.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
If you havent decided on a venue yet then speak to me about what you want. I can't favour one over the other but I can tell you that if you are thinking of a park or other public area you will need approval and generally you have to pay. Knowing there are cost effective alternatives will help.
The day of the week you choose can be cost effecdtive as well. Most providers charge more for weekends and this is understandable but if you can be flexible you can save.
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
I need to know the date and time as well as the general location. I need to know of any special requirements that you may be thinking of and of course if you envisage any particular challenges you should let me know in advance.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity and I am licensed by the Federal Attorney General.
Your wedding will be registered online and all paperwork will be submitted within the timeframe required.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
All Celebrantrs are submitted to personal checks by the Federal Government. They must also support their application by obtaining references from people in their local community.
My client testimonials are all positive.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
My clents want to know if they can write their own vows and my answer is yes. They also ask for samples of vows, poetry, readings and I have these at the ready to hand over and discuss.
They ask me about giving away and other aspects including Rose Ceremonies, candle and sand ceremonies as well as handfasting and more and I have this information on hand as well.
What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?
Clients should always enquire about experience. Everyone has to start somewhere though and I did too so its not just that, its how you feel when you interact with a prospective celebrant and sometimes the best of us just don't fit with what is required.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy meeting people, listening to their stories and hearing about their hopes and aspirations.
I am always in awe when I see people take this step with open eyes and hearts. The reflection of the hopes and dreams my clients have does wonders for my outlook..
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
A couple of times now I have met couples who were boyfriend and girlfriend when they were young only to drift apart and be re-united many years later where they have then fell in love all over again.
Where there is love there is always hope.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
The celebrant who married my wife and I did a great job and I was filled with admiration for the smooth and professional way in which he conducted himself.
I aspired to be a civil celebrant from that day and I learned from him and many other professionals.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
All my customers will receive a beautiful album order of service as well as 3 booklets to give to parents or friends.
Cover of booklet will contain full colour image of you both.
