  Buyer beware do not waste your time and money! I’m so glad I waited to do a review. It allows time for problems to arise which it did. After less than a year our door started making a loud banging noise. I called and arranged a service call and was made to send in a video of it before anyone was sent out. A service guy came. A subcontractor. He “repaired” our door and broke it causing the door to now scratch the front walls of our garage when it closed. Without even telling me what he’d done I had to rush outside when he was leaving to talk to him through his car window before he drove off. I contacted the office and they sent him back out even though I expressly said I didn’t want the same guy. I was then told he was a subcontractor and it was his responsibility?! Um no the responsibility lies with the company I paid to do the job. So all the stories they tell you that they do the job from start to finish are lies, they use subcontractors and take no responsibility when they stuff up jobs. This guy then came again, he was not interested at all in doing the job. He clearly was already paid so did not give a stuff when having to be recalled to fix what he’d broke. He then “fixed” our door issues by moving only certain panels back then causing large gaps between our garage wall and the door itself. This is the kind of work dodgy trades are renowned for. After putting in another complaint one could only assume an owner Tony came out to view the damage. He then blamed me telling me it was our fault we rendered the garage walls. I explained to him that our house build was finished almost a year ago and our door did not touch the walls before his service guy came out. I had photos of the completed house to prove it both taken by me and our builder and our surveyor! He didn’t even know that my original service call was for a loud banging noise and not the broken door. He also said that the large gaps looked fine and were normal. This is the high quality standard of work they provide! After more talks another “subcontractor” was sent out. This guy was an absolute chauvinist and wouldn’t talk directly to me, only to my husband who is also a trade. I am also in the construction industry too but hey I’m female so I guess I don’t know what I’m talking about right?! As chauvinistic as he was he at least fixed my door so the gaps were back to some form of normal but wouldn’t fix the scratches. He said he was a subcontractor and it’s not his business. I called Mark to ask him why the scratches were not being fixed and how this wasn’t good enough only for him to hang up on me!! This company was an absolute joke! This was November 2021. After 1000 excuses of why they couldn’t come out earlier we had them finally appear again at the end of Feb 22!! Two “service” contractors came to our house. We didn’t initially know it though as they didn’t ring the doorbell nor did they bother calling before coming. We we’re only alerted to the fact by our wonderful neighbours who told us there were two men were lurking at our garage door. I cannot fathom how you can show up to someone’s private property house and not tell them you are there or bother to knock on the door! We looked on our cameras and sure enough they came. We checked the door and what can only be described as a paint job by a 2 year old. There were smudge and drip marks on our $4k door. Not only that, they only bothered to paint one of the scratches, not the other two that were there and clearly visible if they bothered to look or do a proper job. I’m honestly astounded a company is run like this. They blame their subcontractors, the subcontractors in turn say they don’t know anything and it’s not their job!!! We didn’t have any problems with any of the trades that worked out build. This was the only one that was lazy, unprofessional and all around rude. It’s been 3 days since they were out and not one message or phonecall from this incompetent bunch. I’ve only heard from our initial sales person James, whilst lovely, sold me on an absolute dud of a company. What makes matters 💯worse is that I recommend these guys in the beginning to our friends who also got screwed over. Their door on their brand new build looked horrendous and they had to fight to get it replaced. Do yourself a favour, next time I’d look for a more reputable company who takes pride in their work. See photos below, they speak for themselves. Our door was less than a year old before the banging noises started. This lazy, substandard company is not worth your time and money. Look elsewhere for your garage doors!

  I engaged FDGD to supply and install a garage door. There is 10 year warranty on the sectional door and the motor PLUS 12 months service and labour. Its been 2 weeks and we are happy with the product and the customer service. Mark and James were very responsive throughout the process.
