Frequently Asked Questions
Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?
I use my creative flare to give you want you want. I also try to give you want you are looking for by detailed consultations and quotes so you know exactly what you are getting.
What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?
I have undertaken training with a qualified florist as well as completing my diploma of floristy in Rippenlea.
As i have completed many wedding and events with noting but compliments i feel very comfortable in what i do.
Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?
My fort-ay i believe is weddings. I do bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, centrepieces, churches, gardens, halos, flower girl wands etc. Also vase arrangements, boxed and wrapped flowers.
How do you normally charge for your service?
I charge bouquets anywhere from $80.00 up to $250.00 depending on the flowers used. I always give the customer an opportunity to come back if another quotation is obtained which is cheaper to enable me to beat this. However you will find that i am very very cheap compared to most florists as i do not have the overheads. I also charge delivery around melbourne which is 0.85c/km round trip as per whereis.com.
Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?
If your wedding order comes in over $300.00 i throw in a free bouquet for the reception. The throw aways are a very traditional and fun part of the ceremony:) My pricing is very competitive.
What makes your pricing competitive?
Again as i have no overheads and work from home around my children, i am extremely competitive. I do not have to pay for shop rent, employees etc. I have a fully equipped garage that i work from that is set up especially for my flowers.
How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips
A customer may save money by using their own vases, bowls arrangement vessels etc.
They can use flowers that are readily in season and not have to import or get in especially .
What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?
Date, time, venue/locations are the must before we start a quotation. Also having an idea of what you want is important too. However i know lots of people do not know much about flowers therefore i have ample examples available to peruse in order for the perfect look to be achieved.
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I am not insured however do guarantee my work. I have never had a complaint yet nor shall i. I take pride in my work and use only the best. I do not take short cuts and am very picky therefore only the best will do.
What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?
I think my work speaks for itself. My facebook page of Forbidden Flowers has loads of testimonials and thank you letters therefore potentially making the decision to use me the right one.
What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?
Which flowers are in which season. What do other people usually have for their wedding. What is the norm with guest buttonholes. As all these questions are personal preference i still have no trouble in getting you to the look you are after.
What do you like most about your job?
I love the freedom of working with flowers. They are a positive environment and i just love the beauty of them. I love delivering the flowers and looking at the customers faces of joy at their beautiful flowers.
Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?
I once had a bride that was so stressed about her wedding. She would call all the time and was stressing about every aspect of the flowers. I just took the time to reassure her and made her feel at ease. Then on the day she was so excited and thankful of everything that i had done. I then received a beautiful letter of thanks and appreciation and also got a referral from one of her friends.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I didnt want to continue to work for someone else and also wanted to start a family and work around my kids. Therefore the perfect job for me. It fits in well with everything that i do and especially I LOVE FLOWERS.
