Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

We are fully insured by our industry insurance and have a working with children check.  If the child does not want their face painted we are happy to do a fun design on their arm.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always worked with children and loved art in various forms over the years, so when a friend suggested doing a course it sounded great and I have loved face painting. balloon twisting and temporary tattoos ever since.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

There is no particular story as each and every event is thoroughly enjoyed especially the children's reaction when they first see their face painted in the mirror.  When a child keeps coming back to see themselves in the mirror always brings a smile to my face.

Do you have working with children check, insurance and the necessary OH&S cards (necessary for shoppicentres and Bunnings etc)?  Do you use cosmetic approved products?  Are you aware of OH&S requirements when working?

Why are the prices different for face painters and balloon artists.  Unfortunately there are people out there that are untrained, do not have insurances in place or use professional products and also, there are different levels of expertise of the professional artists.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We always get the job details in writing and reply so the customer knows we have booked their event in.  A couple of days prior to the event we contact the customer to confirm details and numbers and if need be, change of venue due to weather.  On the day of the event we arrive early and bring everything we require and at the end of the day leave the area as we found it.

We are professional, experienced and love working with children.  No matter what event we will make it fun and hassle free. We can adapt our services to suit the customers needs and event requirements.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

We need to know the suburb. time and date of the customer's event and the service required whether it be face painting. balloon twisting or temporary glitter, mica or spray tattoos.  Lastly the number of children or adults attending the event.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Always employ a professional artist as although the cost sounds more, they will paint faster and are able to handle large numbers of children speedily so the overall cost could be less than an amateur. Be honest about the numbers at your event, it will make the event smoother if we know exactly the numbers needed to be painted or twist balloons for. Know exactly what your requirements are and be able to communicate with me so the event will go ahead smoothly, with everyone enjoying it.

We are professional and only use professional products like paint, glitters and products.  We are mothers ourselves so well aware of children's different personalities and will work with them to make your event fun.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Normally, it depends on the suburb, time and how many children are to attend your event.  For parties it is recommended to have 1 hour face painting and 1 hour balloon twisting for about 15 children.  For larger number of children please ask for a quote.

We have trained as face painters, balloon twisters and temporary tattoo artists.  We are always undergoing workshops with local, interstate and overseas artists to keep up to date with designs and colours.  We also network with other artists to practice our skills and swap ideas.
