Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I am insured through special arrangements with the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC) of which I have been a member since I started in this industry.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Many years ago I noticed that there was  an obvious lack of Celebrants who had an expertise in the Italian language. There was also a demand for Celebrants who could really encompass the right cultural elements for a couple and be sensitive to their values.

What do you like most about your job?

It's amazing the satisfaction one gets from seeing couples happy. One can sense the closeness between them as they sit opposite me in my office and we discuss all their special requirements. Meeting couples from so many backgrounds is like a learning experience for me.

What are your qualifications? Why did you become a Celebrant? How long have you be a Celebrant? Are you available on the date we have chosen? Are there any limitations on the services that you will provide? Will you also register our marriage? Are there hidden costs? What are your pricing parameters?

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

In my many years of Celebrancy, I have never had a complaint directed at me by any couple. My record with the Marriage Section of the Federal Attorney General is unblemished. I have received many positive testimonials from couples that I have married. I always arrive at the ceremony venue at least half an hour before the start of the ceremony to ensure that all is in place and ready to go.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I respond quickly to all requests. I am here to help. My pricing is very flexible and I understand the required legalities and the importance of developing the right ceremony for the special occasion.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

Location of the wedding ceremony. Date and time of the ceremony. Type of ceremony and who will be involved in the ceremony itself. If there is a budget. Any special requirements.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

The best thing about my pricing is that I can be flexible. Although I do have some set pricing parameters, I can also work to a budget that a couple might have. This is particularly important in situations where cost might be a special issue.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

I usually do this in two phases. A deposit after I've started to do some work for you. A second invoice 2 weeks before the wedding for the balance. This has always worked well for the couples that I have dealt with.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialize in all aspects of marriage ceremonies. My training has been quite extensive and so I can offer a lot of expertise to couples encompassing all of their special requirements.

I have approx. 10 years experience in my field. I am tertiary qualified and also have diplomas in Celebrancy
