Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I do have public liability insurance up to $10 million and all of my work has an unconditional garantee for labour. So if there is a fitting problem, I will always be happy to refit and explain what happened.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have always been interested in locks and keys, I also have never gone into a small room without really looking at the lock and how it works. After doing work experience with a locksmith I knew it was the job for me

All of my customers are my favorites, but If I had to pick a particular story it would be very hard, One funny one was when I was picking a lock to let in a customer when the door just opened in front of me, there was a very sleepy girl who had failed to open the door for her boyfriend who was now in a bit of trouble.

What do you like most about your job?

The thing i like most about my job is that I get to help people when they are in need, Im always in a different location, meeting new people, and Locksmithing in general is fun.

You should always ensure the Locksmith at your premises has a current security licence. It can help to ask for a little information about your lock and listen to the knowlege that your locksmith has on the topic.

The most common question asked by customers is how soon can I arrive to start work for them. In most cases I will be there within the hour- or for real emergencys I have been known to stop the job i'm on to get there in time.

Well I couldn't say only I am the most trustworthy Locksmith around, as we all have to have a security check by the police and carry with us a Security Licence. But reliability is something only some of us have, when I say I will be there I will be there, or at least call to explain.

It is always hard to provide an accurate quote over the phone, but knowing things like if its a hinged or sliding door, or what type of lock is on the door and how it worked.

Just knowing what you want can help, a detailed description of the problem you are facing or the type of lock, some problems can even be solved over the phone!!!

I have worked for some of the major locksmith companies on the Gold Coast and have called around to compare prices, as I have less overheads and a nice attitude, my prices can be much lower.

How do you normally charge for your service?

The way I charge for my services for between normal working hours (8:30-5:00) is $70 covers the first 30 minutes of labour, then its just $70 per hour thereafter.

The Locksmith industry is very broad from Automotive to Safes to anything and everything that requires a mechanical key to access, most locsksmiths are highly trained in all aspects.

Over 15 years experience from Sydney to the Gold Coast. Started helping as a locksmith in 1996 and have continued to work in the industry for the last 17 years.
