Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Our business is insured through  CGU and SGIC.  We have a current public Liability policy in place. With all of our work we provide the customer with a Certificate of compliance for their Electrical installation and provides the customer with a work guarantee.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

As a child i was constantly pulling apart and repairing broken, blow-heater fans. I knew then i wanted to become an Electrician. I then enrolled and successfully completed  a one year Electrical Prevocation course. That certificate gained me a 2nd year Apprenticeship with Kilpatrick Green.

There are many stories to tell and things i have seen in the thirty years working in this industry. one time 15yrs ago i was doing a lighting upgrade and the clients son wanted to help. He showed me lots of initiative so i gave him an apprenticeship with us

Firstly are you an "A Class Electrician" and if so could you provide a visual display of your licence before you start work. Also will you be providing me with a Certificate after your work is complete.

Whatever the questions the customer asks and requires, we will endevour to answer these with our experience and knowledge of 30 years within within the Electrical field.

In general a quote is hard to justify without looking at the work required first. We will come and look first at what you require. This way the quote becomes a fixed price.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Customers can help by moving furniture away from the rellivant work area, therefore providing us with accessibility. Example, when installing down-lights. When a customer wants outlets installed, consider a location on an external wall to your house. These are easier and quicker to install.

I prefer to do a site inspection where i can evaluate the required works to be done, discuss with the client, then i can give a written quote ased on parts and labour required

Always loved fault finding when safety switches trip and they can not be reset. Just to be an Electrician inspires me to please and see a happy face on the customers face!
