• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  I became a Civil Marriage Celebrant after my daughter said to me out of the blue "Mum why don't you become a Marriage Celebrant?" I was a bit startled as it was something we had never discussed or hinted at. Then not long after this discussion my daughter was in a fatal car accident. I thought I would honour her wish for me and here I am and I love it so much, as I will never see her married, I get great joy from participating in weddings for other daughters.

• What do you like most about your job?

  What I love most about my job as a celebrant is seeing the happiness and joy on the faces of the bride and groom.
