How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Obviously love of cats, but with the range of experience I have gained over the years and in helping manage elderly family members who either due to illness or mobility issues were not able to effectively look after their pets and homes I realised that there was a real need for this type of service.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Not really a favourite customer story as such, but have had much joy looking after cats that have not had much love from their owners.  Until recently we have had a collection of brushes, food stashes and other treats for cats that we would regularly feed and care for in our previous neighbourhood.

What do you like most about your job?

I love cats and get on really well with people.  My work history has meant that I need to be able to think of my feet and be able to sort out issues and find solutions readily.

I think it is also up to the cat sitter/business to also provide the customer with a procedure for how they operate and in caring for the pet and in the event of any issues arising.

Customers typically just want to feel a bond with you and know that their cat/pet will be loved and cared for in their absence.  As a cat owner for many years, you know what is expected and go above and beyond to provide surety and to update them in their absence of their cat's wellbeing.

I have many years small business experience and have worked with a host of personal individuals, small and large companies and government organisations.  I have full security/police check and I also don't use casual sitters or contractors.

Hello Jackie is me.  I'm an Adelaide girl with many years of event management, administration and small business experience and now offering my services to furry felines and their owners.  Your furry friends will be loved and cared for by me - I don't use contractors or casual sitters.

Rates offered are based on services listed on Oneflare and on my website.  Discounts are offered for services provided longer than 7 days and this is discussed at our initial meeting to meet you and your pet.

Personal service and value for money.  Rates quoted are competitive and are calculated based on location and service offered.  No contractors are used.

Daily rate for cat care and associated responsibilities.  Other services can be organised by negotiation and are either charged at hourly rate or fixed price.
