I am a registered BAS Agent, and I take my role very seriously. I am insured and guarantee all work performed which will be in quotation.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My interest was always to become a midwife, however, I failed the exam so I enrolled in the cheapest class they had on offer at the time Cert3 in Accounts.

My relationships with customers has always been based on long-term, therefore I have so many wonderful memories and stories about each client. The wonderful thing about maintaining long term clients it comes with being a part of their families life and watching their children/grandchildren blossom into beautiful adults.

The variety of challenges excites me, resolving accounting issues as weird as it sounds is fulfilling. I learn new things on daily basis.

Always ask for a current referral, one that is local to your area preferably? Always call the referral for work performance,. If you can contact a reputable accounting firm or a CPA Accountant to verify the workmanship is what I would recommend.

Cost and time frame is the most common. I will give an honest answer after reviewing the task at hand. I will not sugar coat my response just to acquire a job...I take pride in my work and service I offer.

My years with existing clients speaks for itself. I commit to a task with diligence and professionalism. My clients are able to give referral if need be.

I come highly recommended and can provide direct contact details for referrals. Most my work is work comes from Accounting firms and by word of mouth. I am reliable and efficient.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The structure of a business, relating to the setup i.e GST registered? I check whether the entity has employees and if its liabilities are up to date i.e Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax etc  Up and coming deadlines or late lodgment of activity statements. The integrity of the data/information presented to me to name a few.

Have all paperwork ready in Month format these includes; Bills, receipts, sales records, bank statements, credit cards statements, lodged BAS / IAS/Superannuation paperwork, ensure payroll details are up to date and available, Emails from Accountants, Sold assets and purchases of new assets.

My pricing strategy used is not competitor driven, moreover I am a small business myself with low overheads, therefore I have price my work according to the clients needs. I maintain my customer base with proven strategies and have been effective for my business this includes long-term commitment and 24/7 support.

In addition to hourly rate on offer, most my existing customer prefer the monthly or quarterly packages. These packages are best suited for customers who monitor budget planning and cash-flow. This can be discussed at consultation.

I work with a variety of industries and with a variety of packages, these include Pronto, Myob, Essentials, Xero, Quickbooks and Excel spreadsheet.  My clients range from Mineral Resources, Car Dealerships, Small to Medium Contractors, Retail, Local Council groups, Sporting clubs and Importing and exporting.

I have been a Senior Bookkeeper for 25+years. I have my Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Cert IV in Bookkeeping, I am currently a Registered BAS Agent. I stay current by participating in webinars, short courses and training modules.
