Whats your automotive back ground, where did you do your apprenticeship, most mechanics are dealership orientated these days and don't have vast knowledge of different makes and models, I don't have any problem saying I cant do that and refer you to someone I know that can do the job right rather than battle through it and not do it 100 % right.

ask for up front quotes, don't wait and hope it will be affordable get them to txt the quote or email it so you have a solid quote (not a verbal), if there is any extra work required have them call you and discuss it with you and again txt or email the relevant work order, all you have to do is respond agreeing to the repair and everything is see through then no muddy water.

I have always loved brake work on all makes and models of vehicles and makes me feel better that once I have checked a vehicle over its brakes will be 110 % (if it was possible that is), brakes are the most important feature on a car, anyone can get a car moving its how it stops that is critical, "no brakes", well who knows what happens next. Don't let, "will get it done tomorrow", as tomorrow may be to late and much more expensive than a set of brake pads
