  What ever you do, do not use this JR Automotive Services. The initial interaction was as you'd expect. A representative came out, looked at my car, assessed works to be done and returned with a quote to which I agreed. I paid the $1800 deposit on the 6th of February. This activity should have rung alarm bells, as the initial bank account they provide would no accept the deposit. A subsequent account was provided which accepted the money. The car was picked up on the 7th February. On the 12th February I inquired as to the progress of the repair. On the 19th February I was informed that the engine that had been received was the incorrect one. He told me that he could not give a date the repair would be completed until he found a new engine. On the 20th March I requested that the car and the money be returned as I would find someone else to complete the necessary repairs. My phone calls are not answered, nor has car or deposit been returned.They have not provided any alternatives, instead their choice is to simply ignore my requests. It is now the 12th April … what course of action is left? I'm not sure but at this stage, avoid using this business for anything or you will spend months chasing someone that has no respect or regard for you.

  Location: Preston, VIC

  AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Hired to do an inspection on a car and he cost me 6k. He did not provide report, provided an overwhelming positive review of the car and advised to purchase. When I picked up and started driving within 10 minutes the engine light was on, it broke down and the wipers didn't work. I'll be putting reviews everywhere and reporting where I can. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE OF THIS GUY.

  I don’t know how a person can send such a review I went over car as requested ran a full computer scan and found no issues other than the wear and tear scratches on body work wipers worked and no other issues were apparent the owner also showed me paperwork to say that the issues you say you had had been resolved unfortunately I can’t see into the future to say that something is going to go wrong everything was fine when I inspected the vehicle

  Had my ute for close to 2 weeks, he suggested putting some top notch Chem weld stuff through my cooling system told him I wasn't keen on that. He went ahead & put it in (a different cheap one as he said). I have an AU so its a cross flow radiator blocked that (3 months old at most) had to be replaced, seized thermostat (changed with the 1st radiator), caused a blockage near overflow bottle so pressure blew a hole in it, blocked water pump etc has cost me thousands not to mention leaving me stranded 3 times for hours on end. Lastly a heli coil was put in which came out with my last service mechanic had to re thread it which cost me more.
