Accepted Answer

Yes, we are insured to $5 million for public liability and quality of work. We have never had to use our insurance.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Our owner likes to work with his hands. He has also worked as a chef, so creativity, customer interaction and attention to detail have always been passions of his.

One customer left $20,000 in a drawer we were painting. We have no idea why, but when he came home that day he was very happy to find it on the kitchen bench with a note telling him to find a safer way of looking after it!

We love dealing with people. At the end of the day, our job is to make you happy in your home. Seeing people happy with our work makes us happy. It's our motivation for maintaining quality and the reason we get recommendations.

Which brand of paint should we use? We always recommend Taubmans, apart from when metal is involved, then we use Dulux. Is a non-branded paint going to save me money? No. You pay for the quality. If you buy your paint from Aldi you're going to need 4 coats rather than 2.

We're a family business that thrives and relies on our reputation and word of mouth. We are a normal family, just like you, with kids, pets and every day concerns. We've got 35 years of experience and an owner that takes pride in passing on quality practices.

We will respond within minutes to any quote or question you may have following your acceptance of us for your job. We are clean, courteous and committed to giving you the best possible standard of finish. We have strong links to other trades including Interior Designers, Carpet Cleaners etc

The size of the rooms. The condition of the walls & ceilings. Which areas need painting. When you need the work completing.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

If you can move your furniture to the centre of the room before we arrive we will take that into account in the quote. If you can buy your own paint, that will reduce the overall quote. If you can have another tradesman/handyman come in to do prep/sanding that will help.

Our daily rate is already great value but we are always happy to have a discussion. If you can provide a cheaper quote we will always try our best to beat it.

We have worked in this industry for 35 years and we know what the fair price is for a job. We never cut corners and, as the saying goes, 'You get what you pay for'. If you want consistent communication and performance we are the ones for the job.

How do you normally charge for your service?

We prefer to quote in person as all jobs are different. However, we charge for labour on a great value daily rate which generally beats the competition. The customer pays for the paint and is always provided with an itemised receipt. Straightforward jobs can be quoted over the phone.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Domestic work. Commercial work. The owner's wife is a colour consultant and will provide a free consultation. We also have very strong links with Interior Designers who will happily take into account all aspects of your decor.

The owners has been painting, tiling and hanging wallpaper for 35 years and has international experience in Australia, South Pacific, UK and Dubai. He personally trains all his staff himself to make sure standards are maintained.
