  My husband and I used Lavender Blue Ceremonies in January. What made our experience different was that we were both living in Perth during the planning phase of the wedding. My husband never met Melanie until the day of our wedding. Our wedding was kept a secret from our family as we didn’t want them to make a fuss. 20 of our family members were heading out on a 14 night cruise, so what better way to get everyone together just before we board the ship and catch them off guard. Melanie suggested that she would set up on the observation deck of the International passenger terminal in Circular Quay and we would take the family up there to get some great photos of the family in front of the ship. Melanie was there waiting and after letting the family take their photos she got everyone’s attention by announcing that today was going to be a very special day. She made our wedding day very memorable for sure

  Yes as a member of a large Civil Celebrant Organisation, The Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants, I am fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance. As a Celebrant I must abide by the Code of Conduct and Ethics. I absolutely guarantee my work.

• How did you decide to get into your line of work?

  After working in an area of government that dealt with negative and bad things that happened I decided I wanted happiness to fill my days rather than sad. When I got married and had a celebrant officiate our wedding I knew straight away I wanted to be just like her. I did the training and I love it.
