  When Mark did the first part of the job, he was excellent. He was professional, friendly, helpful and very reasonable. There were then some delays that were in no way Mark's fault that pushed back the date on which the second (much larger) part of the job could be done. Due to these factors, I decided to prepay half of his quote. Big mistake. I only briefly saw Mark once after that, when he told me that he needed to speak with our Sparky before doing any more work. He became impossible to contact, he kept MY tiles (ie the ones i paid for, that he 'helpfully' offered to pick up for me) and he never refunded me a cent of the excess money I gave him. I've acted in good faith and have been left high and dry with no tiles and several hundred dollars out of pocket. EDIT: Mark knew when he quoted the job that it was part of a renovation and that the starting date would be contingent on other tradies doing precursor work. I did indeed get the tiles back on 25 Sept after I wrote the earlier review, and I threatened Mark with a formal complaint. I bought the tiles on 19 August. If you do hire Mark, get him to finish the job before paying him anything, and keep possession of any materials that you are providing for the job.

  Good afternoon Sean G. I’d firstly like to say sorry you feel that way, the tiles have been returned. We booked in a date for work to commence. That was to chemical clean your front of house tiled floors which we had to clean twice after we came back to find icing sugar which was carelessly spilt and the drop sheets that we provided had been pushed aside. We cleaned and sealed. 30.2 m2. You had two guys for 8 hrs and I sent you an invoice for $887.50 including materials that you paid. To complete the second part of the job I needed the cabinetry in and the sparky to finish his roughing in. Your dates for me to start had changed again and again with me leaving for Sydney on the 17th till the 24th. If you had kept to your dates this could have be completed.   Mark completed a whole bathroom renovation and built a custom kitchen to my specifications. I found him prompt, professional and very easy to deal with. His excellent communication kept me in the loop of all works and the job was finished beyond my expectations. Plus, he's not bad on the eyes. Thanks so much Mark.
