Nothing more disgusting than a blocked sewer, but Michael happily showed up on time to deal with it. Sewer was cleared without a fuss and even with a sense of humour. I would thoroughly recommend Michael to anyone - price was less than I expected, he arrives on time, knows what he is doing and has a wealth of knowledge on all other plumbing related (and non plumbing related) situations. You wont go wrong dealing with Michael - he has been appointed my plumber for both of the properties I own.Wes

Michael O’Mara has been to my house many times over quite number of years. His service is second to none, and his charges are fine. On top of that he has a great attitude to his work, is polite and has a great sense of humour – something I particularly enjoy, especially if someone is going to spend some time in my home with me. If you want a plumber that you feel comfortable with and who will explain what the problem is and show you what needs to be done, Michael is your man.Barbara

My records show that Michael has been my plumber for 28 years now (gosh I am showing my age!). I think he was just finished his apprenticeship when he first did a job for me and I was happy then and am still happy now. Michael has always arrived when he said he would and I have never felt overcharged. He is friendly and knowledgeable and always lets me know what the job will cost beforehand (even though most of the time I dont bother to ask anymore!). I trust Michael to always do a professional job and at times have just left the key out for him when I couldnt be home - that has never been a problem as he is completely trustworthy. Not only is Michael honest, competent and knowledgeable, he also has a list of tradesmen that he works with from time to time who are also competent, so I also now have an electrician and a car mechanic who I am very happy with also. If you want a plumber who arrives when he says, and knows what he is doing then call Michael O’Mara.
Frequently asked questions
Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?
I have full Public Liability insurance and all of my work is fully guaranteed. I am rarely called back to check a job, but if the customer has any concerns, I am always happy to pop back and check it.
How did you decide to get into your line of work?
I knew I wanted to be in one of the trades as I felt I couldnt work in a stuffy office, sitting at a desk. The opportunity of a full plumbing apprenticeship came along with North Shore Gas (now AGL) and I thought that would be good as it would mean that although they would make sure I was trained in all aspects of plumbing, I could also become a specialist in gas.
