WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT HIRE Highly unprofessional and completely untrustworthy. Move For Less in Brisbane is not a genuine professional removalist company. It seems to be luck of the draw which “cash-in-hand” workers they send to your home, and in our case they were people who could barely be described as labourers. You would genuinely be better off hiring a truck and two men yourself. Our move was extremely simple: a single-storey house with most of the items packed and already in the garage, moving only 3km to my mum’s garage and then a storage unit a further 2km away. A straightforward job that most professional removalists would be happy to complete efficiently. We were booked for 1pm. They didn’t actually begin working until after 3.30pm because one member of their team arrived very late. Throughout the move they repeatedly wasted time. Each time they carried something to the truck, they would spend an unusually long period out there. When I checked on them, they were standing around talking instead of working. Despite the simplicity of the job, they failed to complete it. They managed only a single trip of small items and left all the bulky furniture behind. At the storage facility they were unable to pack the unit properly, and because the facility was closing, they couldn’t return for a second trip. After dropping the small items at the second house, they insisted on coming back the next day. We ended the job there due to their clear incompetence. What happened next was even more concerning. The removalist couldn’t find his trolley, so I drove with him at night back to the original property to look for it. When it wasn’t there, he assumed it was left at the storage facility. He asked if he could collect it the next morning. Trying to be helpful, I gave him my entry PIN and told him that was fine. A couple of days later, the storage facility contacted me and insisted that a trolley left in the common area be removed immediately as it was a breach of terms. On my way home from work, I collected the trolley myself and locked it inside the storage unit because I had nowhere else to put it. A day or two later, while I was at work, I received several calls from an unknown number that I couldn’t answer. Moments later, my mum called me in a hysterical state because a man was banging on her windows demanding the trolley. I immediately contacted the removalist company, and police attended to remove the worker from my mum’s home. Instead of the company contacting me directly or attempting to resolve the situation professionally, the worker terrified a widow over something she knew nothing about. I then spent more time organising the return of the trolley. It was disgraceful behaviour. Not only was the job left incomplete, not only were several items damaged, and not only were the workers incompetent and unprofessional, but the conduct afterwards was absolutely unacceptable. The operator will promise you everything and deliver nothing but stress, damage, and chaos. Avoid this company at all costs.Shelly &

The contact person was very proactive and always responded to my questions promptly. On the moving day, the two guys arrived right on time. They were very careful while moving our furniture and didn’t damage anything. They worked seriously the whole time and didn’t waste a single minute. It was a bit hot that day, but neither of them smelled sweaty—in fact, they even smelled nice. This was my first time moving in Australia, and I’m really glad it turned out to be such a great experience. I will definitely choose your company again in the future if I get the chance.Alex C

Wanted to give no stars but it wouldnt let me so gave 1. Had read some great reviews about this company but was sadly let down and will never use again. Our removalists were all confirmed for last Friday, but no one ever showed up or even bothered to return my calls, texts or email. We were left to find an alternate company at the last minute. Really really disappointing stuff, and such as shame when we wanted to support a small business. Go with Me 2 U removalists instead, they were fantastic and priced really well!Tiff
