    Extremely poor service delivery, no accountability, and zero interest in resolving issues. Not recommended. Be warned, the high google rating appears to be due to the workers asking their successful moves to give 5 stars so that they can ‘get their bonus’. Hired Move for Less Removals to relocate a small upright piano for an agreed fee. Despite confirming access suitability in advance (with photos), the movers arrived at the drop off location, took payment, then immediately advised they were unable to complete the job due to lack of appropriate equipment. No attempt was made to move the piano inside - it was left in the carport. Critically, the movers also left the previous address still containing some of our property including car keys completely unsecured, with both front doors wide open for hours - a serious breach of basic professionalism and care. Multiple polite attempts were made to contact the owner to resolve the matter. We were offered a partial refund of $100 or a reattempt for an additional cost, neither of which are acceptable given the service was meant to include bringing the piano inside. Communication then ceased entirely. The owner Jack has since ignored messages and hung up during a follow-up call. Upon reading other reviews here I’m learning this behaviour seems to be a common occurrence with this business. Later edit in response to owners reply: the piano model we have is actually well known to be a lightweight option. Additionally the house at the delivery location is level internally. Jack will grasp at any fictional excuse rather than be accountable. Further edit as Jack has edited his reply: Jack never contacted us to “issue a full refund”. We sought a chargeback/dispute through our bank after Jack ceased communication with us which was successful. Beyond his response to this review there’s been zero contact. All information that was requested by Jack to quote and complete the job was provided accurately, so it’s really unclear what “full context” Jack is referring to. Just another attempt to dodge responsibility.

    Hi Scott, We’ve now issued you a full refund in goodwill to finalise the matter, even though the circumstances on the day were not as described. For clarity: our policy requires the customer (or an authorised representative) to remain on-site for the entire move. When customers leave the property unattended mid-job, it creates risks and confusion — including the situation you’ve mentioned about the previous address. Our team does not leave homes unsecured, and we are addressing this internally as well. Regarding the piano, the crew assessed it on arrival and found it was significantly heavier and required additional equipment for safe handling that wasn’t included in the original service request. They offered reasonable options — a partial refund or a reattempt with the correct equipment — but these were declined. At your instruction, the piano was placed in the garage exactly where you requested. We value all feedback, but it’s important the full context is clear for anyone reading. We’ve taken steps to resolve the situation by providing a full refund and reviewing internal processes to avoid similar issues in the future. Kind regards, Jack

    Absolutely shocking experience. The removalists showed up 6 HOURS late with zero communication or apology. By the time they arrived, the day was already ruined. On top of that, they damaged multiple pieces of furniture, and when I contacted the office to sort it out, Jack was completely useless. No accountability, no solutions, and clearly no interest in fixing their mistakes. If you value your time, your belongings, or basic customer service, stay well clear of this company. You’ve been warned.

    I was absolutely impressed by your team, you sent 3 men who tirelessly worked for hours ensuring all of my items were moved with care and relocated to the correct locations at the new house. It was a long day and we were all exhausted, regardless, the men stuck it out until my whole house was relocated, positioned correctly, beds rebuilt , and ensured I was happy before signing off. I tipped them at the end because they deserved it. I could not have moved so successfully without them and I appreciate them whole heartedly.

    I hired the company Move for Less for the relocation. According to our agreement, they were supposed to move a three-bedroom house. When the truck arrived, it turned out to be only a small 4.5-ton truck, and they informed me that they intended to complete the move in two trips. I was already upset by this, as this was not what we had agreed on. I had to pay the transportation fee upfront, which was calculated by the driver. I paid $1,346.75 and they said that if the cost turned out to be less, they would refund the difference., During the loading, my husband and I had to help the removalists because unfortunately the driver was not really up to the task.When we arrived, my husband asked them to unload everything into the garage. Naturally, my husband also had to help with the unloading. The photos show how “professional” the company is. The mattresses and the lower parts of the bed are dirty, muddy, and rusty because they didn’t put anything underneath them; they just dragged them across the truck floor. They didn’t say a word about this when unloading, and unfortunately they were in such a rush that we didn’t notice it until we were carrying the items into the house. After we noticed it, I immediately wrote to Jack and sent him the photos. Since Saturday evening, I have called him several times and sent messages, but I haven’t received any response at all. The total moving cost was for 3 hours ($139 + GST) plus a call-out fee of $99 + GST. The total was $567.60. I have not received the refund yet, which amounts to $779.15. I believe that after all this, I have every right to be dissatisfied. I do not recommend them to anyone. Krisztina
