Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Yes, I am fully insured and i can guarantee all my work and also the work of others who may be assisting me, i.e with a wedding or school ball. We do not rush you through, instead making your experience with us personal & relaxed. We all like to have fun!

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I chose to become a makeup artist after i was bitterly disappointed by the makeup trial I had for my wedding they just made me look so awful!! It appeared that no-one wanted to be bothered with bridal makeup, they just wanted to do the magazine-type shoots. So after training, I started my business Moving Makeup back in 1995 and I haven't looked back. I was one of the first very succesful bridal makeup businesses in London for over 10 years and again for the last 10 since I moved to Australia :)

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

When I was working in London I was invited to attend the wedding of one of my lovely brides who was part of an enormous Italian family, she was also marrying into a large Greek family, so the event was sure to be lavish. the reception was held at the Café de Paris, a beautiful venue in central London. We had an absolute ball dancing all the Greek dances - it was a day to remember!!  I also had a bride who spilled RED nail-polish down the front of her dress, and also a bride who skidded and fell into a swimming pool the night before her wedding. she had to say her vows sitting in a wheel-chair and was then rushed to hospital after to have surgery!

What do you like most about your job?

I really enjoy being creative and artistic. I am always looking for new idea. I dont think of this as a job at all, although i do it full-time! I really like meeting all the lovely clients and having fun with them! Its about the journey too - a special occasion is something you want to remember for the rest of your life, so we make sure you have fun and don't forget your wedding or special event!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What experience do you have, where did you train, have you got a good track-record and how much time do you need on the day? There are many cow-boys out there and Im sorry to say, they can provide a very disappointing service. I know this because many girls have told me such disasterous tales.

They ask me if I'm available, what products do I use, and how much will it all be. I like to treat each costomer very individually and always take numbers and areas into consideration when quoting a price. Although I don't offer discounts, I feel they are receiving an elite service for the price, but I do tailor my prices to suit your needs.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I am reliable & trustworthy by nature, I have never let a client down in 20 years! I will be there come hell or high water, once a bride or client has made a booking, they are locked-in my diary - I'm not the sort of person to cancel -  I've even seen a bridal party a couple of days after having surgery for appendicitis -lol!!

Because I know my trade inside out and never fail to make everyone look and feel amazing. My clients are always very keen to re-book and refer me to their friends and family :) many clients try cheap service providers and are disappointed, so they come to see me and are blown away!

i need to know the date of event, number of people, hair or makeup or both required, area & time of event. My diary is very busy so i try to fit clients in on a tight schedule without compromising the quality of my work.

Don't go to someone else who is much cheaper because you will certainly be wasting your money! I will give you over & above the value you will be paying :) as I have said, you get what you pay for in the makeup industry!

I keep my prices in-line with other artists of similar experience in the area, although many of my previous clients have said my prices are very reasonable considering my level of expertise - they would pay double just so i could do their makeup again!

How do you normally charge for your service?

I usuall prefer a bank-transfer payment ( I can provide my bank details) but can also receive cash on the day. Cheques or credit card payments are currently unavailable.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Weddings are most popular, but also school balls, lessons & party makeup/ hairstyling. I am very adept at false eyelash application and creating a flawless skin. I really enjoy doing retro or vintage style hair & makeup having a passion for all things 1950's!

I have over 20 years experience in Makeup & hairstyling. I trained as a makeup artist & hairdresser at the London College of Fashion where the standards are very high.Also recently with world renowned teacher Donna Mee from Los Angeles.I am able to do makeup for all special occasions & photoshoots. I aslo specialise in alternate style makeup- i.e drag, emo, vintage, transgender etc.
