How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Family Business.  I'm 4th Generation in the tree industry and it is a family owned business hiring from local families.  Its rewarding to have such a tight network of men, even though our work is extremely physical.

One old lady in particular wanted to help drag branches to the chipper - she would have been 80!  We told her we could handle it and she ended up going to the shed to grab a cane knife to help cut up branches we were cutting with a chainsaw! They don't make them like that anymore!

Our ability to have 2 full time Estimators that quote work within a couple or days and also they then audit and quality check the work that has been done.  Our crew leader  have before and after photos of each job and complete a Quality Control Checklist before they leave the job

We have the best gear, ranging from limited access spider lifts, to 23m Elevated work Platforms, excavators, bobcats etc.  Couple  this with a highly experienced crew and we are able to be efficient and competitive.

This all depends on the job.  To get a indication on price, download our app, Tree Quote, available on Android and Apple, take a picture of the tree/s and we can provide and indicative quote within 24 hours.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

All areas of tree removal, pruning and arborist work including tree reports.  Because we have insulated buckets we do removals in and around the power line network.  There is no job to big or small for MPDT

Our crews are trained Arborists with their training refreshed twice a year.  We are also accredited by Ergon to cut in and around power lines which is required.  MPDT also has Cherry pickers, Stumpgrinders, trucks and chipper and trained climbers to get all matter of tree work done
