RACQ Members Statewide Warranty RACQ offers members a Queensland-wide warranty on all repairs conducted by any RACQ Approved Automotive Repairer on presentation of the original sales receipt for the repairs. Warranty period is 6 months or 10,000 km on workmanship and parts at manufacturers specified warranty periods. If your repairs are found to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, the parts will be replaced or appropriate rectification work will be performed free of charge at any comparable RACQ Approved Automotive Repairer.  There are currently over 300 RACQ Approved Automotive repairers across Queensland.  The warranty only covers repairs carried out by an RACQ Approved Automotive Repairer.  If an existing problem or a new problem unrelated to the repairs is found, this will not be covered under this warranty.

At Nambour Car Service, we only use either genuine parts or parts that meet the manufacturers specs ensuring that your new car warranty remains intact. In a manufacturers handbook service (logbook service), the dealer will only look at the areas that they have listed in their schedule.  When we do a logbook service, not only do we follow their schedule, we carry out our own thorough inspection looking at  all other aspects of the vehicle.  If there’s a fault with your new car, you want it picked up before it’s out of new car warranty, and that’s what we look for. Not only do we offer a more comprehensive manufacturers handbook service, we’re cheaper!

operate my business governed by a few basic principals and list them in no particular order as they are all equally important. Firstly I’m big on presentation, I hate working in a pig sty and I believe that if someone or some business can’t look after themselves, how can they look after someone else. For that reason every thing has it’s place, the workshop floor is always clean and excellent workshop health and safety procedures are paramount. Clean uniforms are a must and every car has a final inspection that I carry out personally to make sure that the car goes out as clean as it was when it came in.   Being a service based industry, customer service and communication is crucial.  I think that it’s very important that a client can always rely on speaking to the same person, someone who has a responsibility to each job, has an in depth mechanical knowledge and is available all of the time.  Personally I spend a lot of time in the office but also in the workshop.  Overseeing the quality of workmanship, diagnosing complicated faults, directing the workshop and training the apprentices are few of my daily tasks.  To guarantee the best customer service, even when I’m involved elsewhere, I employ a full time service advisor.  When it comes to servicing and repairing cars, I won’t take short cuts.  I have built this business up on quality repairs that are done with cost efficiency and longevity in mind.  I have never intended on being the cheapest workshop nor the most expensive.  I aim to be competitive and when value for money is the comparison with other establishments I believe that we will always excel.  Finally, I am here for the long haul. Customer satisfaction and longterm business relationships are my focus.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Rego number, Made & model of the Vehicle. Is it petrol or Diesel?  What size engine it has? If it is manual or auto?  We ask these questions so that we are not guessing the price... we will know exactly what parts are needed and can let you know so there will be no surprises.

At Nambour Car Service we have the latest equipment, up to date training and certification, decades of experience and the right attitude to service your air conditioning system while still caring for the environment  Most commonly a/c systems run out of refrigerant due to a leak somewhere in the system. In the past these systems have just been topped up when they get low and stop producing cold air. Most people would be familiar with the old term ‘re-gas’. ‘Re-gassing’ is now an illegal practice. If a system is low on gas the leak must be identified and repaired. An ultra violet dye should always be added to make any future leaks visible.
