Yes, the business itself is insured through Marsh Sports Insurance and all of our personal trainers are insured either through Fitness Australia or Kinnect Australia. We certainly guarantee our work in the areas of fitness improvement and weight loss.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

After holding down a desk job for nearly 15 years, which involved long hours sitting down in a car commuting from geelong to Melbourne, coupled with sitting at the desk for another 10-12 hours per day, I decided I wanted to stay fit and healthy well into the ripe years of my life, so that I could enjoy being a fit, healthy and active father. It is this passion and desire for a good quality of life that I now want to pass on to other people and I do exactly that through my personal training business

What do you like most about your job?

The interaction with a diverse group of people, from children as young as 10 to senior citizens in their 60s. Both men and women alike, from stay at home mums, to university students and workers to business owners and enterpeneurs. It's also the ability to be able to have such a positive influence on the quality of lif eof all of our clients and in many cases being responsible for directly or indirectly saving people's lives through their health and wellbeing!

Our sincerity, honesty, genuine empathy for each of our clients and the fact that all of our trainers have walked the walk and talked the talk. We know what it's like to be overweight, overstressed, struggling with time to exercise ourselves and juggling the pressures of everyday life and keeping the family going. We can not only understand and empathise with our clients, but we can speak from first hand experience what needs to be done in order to change our mindset, our lifestyles as well as our own physical bodies. We are your friends, not your slave drivers :-)

At New Level PT Newtown, we are the Masters of Motivation. We have a proven track record of pushing our clients to their limits - without being the 'yelling and screaming' Biggest Loser type trainers. Why? Because we have been there and done that. All of our trainers have either had their own weight issues, had to contend with stress and anxiety and other emotional issues and as such we know what it takes to overcome personal demons in order to achieve what initially may seem the impossible. We are humans - just like you! But we are also experienced and know how to connect with our clients. After all, that's exactly what we do. On top of that, once you see our modern, spacious and light filled studio, you know it is a non-intimidating place you will want to train at. That, we can promise!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Firstly and foremostly, are they serious? Are they serious about changing their lifestyle and their habits? If so, they then need to decide on their budget. Either they can afford one-on-one personal training - where they will get individualised focus, guidance and support - or if they want to embark on some fitness campaign but can't afford personal training, the next step is to join our group training membership and come along to one of 12 different groups sessions we have each week.  In a nutshell, we have programs to suit all budgets, but it is up to the individual to decide what they can afford and what it is they really want to achieve.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1- Shop around. But don't just go for the lowest quote, do your homework and make sure the service they offer speaks for itslef, as that is the best way to save in the long run. 2 - Don't get sucked in and pay for hour long sessions when the first 20-3- minutes all you do is warm up on the cardio machines, that is something you could - and should - be doing in your own time. 3 - By adopting a more healthier and fitter lifestyle, imagine the savings you would make by not having to go to doctors or spend thousands on medicines. Not to mention the thousands you could save by quitting smoking, not spending so much money on grog and takeaways etc!

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

We offer 60 minute personal training sessions, but in actual fact you only pay for 30 minutes, which is the time spent with the trainer. The other 30 minutes comprises of a 20 minute warm up session on our cardio equipment, along with a 10 minute cooldown session following the PT session. But instead of charging for that entire one hour session, you only get charged for half of that! That makes it both affordable and value for money for the client!

How do you normally charge for your service?

We have a variety of ways. People can become casual members and purchase either 10, 20, 50 or 100 session packs, or - as is the most popular way and the most economical one at that - people become either Silver (2 sessions per week) or Gold (3 sessions per week) members and they pay by direct debit every fortnight

Yes, we specialise in weight loss coaching, total body transformation, boxing for fitness, group training, one-on-one personal training, nutrition advice and consulting and overall health and fitness wellbeing.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

As a personal trainer of more than four years, I have completed a Cert 3 and Cert 4 course in personal training (fitness), as well as a course in Metabolic Precision, Thump Boxing Instruction Level 1 and Advanced Level, Kettlebells Level 1 and am currently studying a Diploma in Life Coaching. Added to that, I have had extensive experience over the past four years running both a mobile personal training business, TonchFit Personal Training, as well as being the resident boxing for fitness group instructor at Club Exec gym in the heart of Geelong. In December 2010, I opened my own personal training studio in Newtown, New Level Personal Training Newtown, which is still running today in West Fyans Street.  It is a modern, spacious and light filled studio with the very best cardio and resistance equipment. I also have an excellent team of personal trainers working for me, who have all got proven success in helping clients achieve whatever their health and fitness goals may be. Our motto is "Your goals are our goals" and we strive to healp each and every one of our clients lead a healthy, fit and enjoyable life by helping them to change their current lifestyle to better equip them to lead a more qualitative existance. We enjoy doing what we do and seeing the smiles on our clients' faces as they achieve things they initially thought impossible!
