The combination of applying creative and technical skills to produce images that bring joy to others. And of course, hanging out with animals!

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Ask to see examples of their work.  Photography is both artistic and technical.  Do they shoot on auto?  If so, I don't recommend you hire them.  Anyone can take a snapshot on auto!  Go with your gut... If you don't feel a rapport with them, are they going to be trusted to bring out your best in the images?

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Do you do weddings?  A: No, not typically. I am not experienced in this field and there are plenty of photographers in the area who are much more adept in this genre. Why specialise in pet photography? A: I have a lifelong passion for animals and have fostered rescues for many rescue organisations.

If you are looking for quality images that are lovingly crafted and professionally edited, then Passionfruit Photography can meet your needs. If however, you are looking for a cheap, 'shoot and burn' type service, it's best to choose another provider.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

My business is only in its start up stage so I generally compare my work to other local photographers to try and stay competitive or to provide something different to generate traffic.  I would also rather work to the customer's budget...if they have x amount of dollars to spend, then I can tailor something to suit them.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in pet photography, but I also do humans! I find kids and teenagers fun to work with, as well. I have also done some real estate, stock and product photography.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have a lot of experience in pet photography. I graduated from the Photography Institute in 2013 and completed a Bachelor of Business (Management) in 2019 with Swinburne University of Technology. I believe my skills lie in an ability to relate to both animals and humans.
