At Plumbworks we guarantee all our work for both parts and labour for a minimum 12 months.* Certain terms and conditions apply. We are fully insured and have public liability insurance cover for up to $10 million.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I am a third generation plumber, so I suppose that I grew up learning the trade from my father and grandfather. Plumbing has always been a rewarding and satisfying trade to be in.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

When I was a teenager, helping my Dad during a school holiday, we were called out by a client staying at a hotel that had lost her Python Snake down the toilet. My Dad very cleverly used his Oxy/ Acetylene welding torch to heat the cast iron sewer pipe, which made the python come back out the pipe back into the toilet bowl. Dad landed up on the front page of the newspaper with the skimpily dressed woman in her bikini and a python draped around her and Dad.

What do you like most about your job?

Job satisfaction come with enjoying your work, taking pride in what you do and seeing the satisfied look on your customers face when you give them a job done well at an affordable price. Plumbing allows me to do this at the same time, I am able to meet new people on a daily basis.

Is the tradesman fully licensed and insured in the trade/ service you seek?  How many years experience do you have with this type of work? What guarantees do you offer with your parts and labour? Do you have any references of satisfied clients that I could talk to?

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Most commonly asked questions are normally related to cost of the proposed job and secondly whether we have the experience and equipment to deal with the job. I always try to give my clients a quote or estimate over the phone before going out. If we get to a job and it is going to cost more than originally quoted, we always discuss this with the client before proceeding. We also only offer our services to clients if we are confident that we can deliver a great outcome for our client.

I believe that being reliable and trustworthy is paramount to building a sound reputation with your clients and in the community. I want all my clients to be satisfied, happy clients that would gladly refer/ recommend my services to all their mates. I always give all my clients the very best possible service, because I value their custom.

We offer a professional service and have the latest equipment on our vehicle to get your job done right the first time. We believe that word of mouth advertising from our satisfied customers is invaluable, so obviously we want to make sure that our clients get the very best service possible.

Location of the job: is it indoors/ outdoors; the size of the unit. Access to site and availability to other services: i.e power source. How long has the problem persisted? The urgency of the proposed job.

This will depend on the type of job you are wanting done. I recommend that you call me in advance to discuss your job and if there is anything that I believe you can do before we come out, which will save you money, I will be more than happy to discuss this with you.

We believe in offering our clients value for money, affordable service. At Plumbworks we price our services based on the current industry standards in Queensland and in accordance with the Master Plumbers rates.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

At Plumbworks, we either offer our clients a quote/ estimate before commencing a job or alternatively we off a hourly rate. Most jobs we can quote over the phone, but for larger jobs we recommend a site visit. Our standard rates are $88 for the first half hour and thereafter $44 per half hour. Charges for jetter and CCTV camera equipment is not included in these rates.

At Plumbworks, we specialise in general plumbing maintenance, especially high pressure drain cleaning and repairs, with all the latest equipment to clear your blocked sewer or storm drains fast and efficiently, and CCTV camera and locator on board to pin point the location of any problem you might have in your drainage system.

I am a fully licensed and insured plumber, drainer and gas fitter in Queensland. My BCC license number is 1084791 and Plumbing Industry Council license number is: 22645. With over 25 years experience in all aspects of plumbing from large commercial projects to general plumbing maitenance, we have the knowledge to service all your plumbing needs.
