If your satisfied with the footprint of your kitchen and it is functional, and your looking for an economical means of updating, then we may have another solution for you instead of having to replace the whole kitchen – often involving plumbing, gas, electrical, floor tiling, plastering, general painting etc.  Perhaps consider just replaceing the exterior panels doors drawers, kickers and infills – the average kitchen has around 30-50 items.

Re-coating rather than replacing your existing kitchen cupboards can create huge savings on your overall renovation budget.  At a cost of between $2000 to $7000 for re-coating in 2pack, you can save from 60% to 80% on the cost of brand new kitchen joinery or bathroom vanity.  When replacing with new joinery, you need also to consider the additional costs of plumbing, electrical, painting etc which can bring your new kitchen costs up to anywhere between $10,000 to $25,000.  And there is also the disruption to your day to day living caused by managing without a kitchen while the new one is being constructed and installed.  What price do you put on convenience?

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Most of these items can be readily removed with a little bit of planning and sometimes the right advice, what often remains to be dealt with are the kicker boards, any header boards, and occasionally laminated end panels.  If you were to replace or cover these with matching cut to size items – then really all that’s left are the benches with sinks and cookers if needed, and tiles if they need changing – perhaps colour-back glass splashbacks.  Procoat can manufacture your doors drawers panels and infills with 18mm pre-primed white mdf board, locate the hinge hole cutouts on relevant doors, then undertake 2pac coating works to the exposed faces and edges in your desired colour and finish.

If the layout of your existing kitchen works for you, and the joinery is in reasonable condition, then why spend money where you don’t need to?  Re-coat the cupboards, update the handles and you have instantly created a fresh new look for a fraction of the cost of a whole new kitchen.   In addition to the cost savings is also the fact that you still have a perfectly functioning kitchen (minus doors and drawer faces) for the short duration of the re-coating process.  It’s a win/win situation any way you look at it.
