Frequently asked questions

  • How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I knew that as a kid business was the field I wanted to get into, I just didn't know what I wanted to do. Working in the finance industry since I left school in 2005 led me to the path of Financial Advice and I have never looked back or regretted it. I think I really knew that I had found my career job when I had a meeting with a couple that were more than twice my age and I was able to get them on the right track financially. I can remember them thanking me at the end of the meeting. That feeling is what I love, being able to help people whilst being appropriately rewarded.

  • What do you like most about your job?

The main reason that I became a financial adviser was to help people to deal with their money. It is really quite amazing how little most people know about looking after their money and it really isn't their fault, nobody teaches them. This is the biggest thing that got me into this career; I wanted to learn more about how to manage my own money. The biggest part of my job is to sit down with my clients and talk to them about their financial goals; this can be really eye opening. In many cases people have goals that they have no idea how to achieve and in many cases their goals are completely unrealistic. Working with them to get them on the right track to meet their goals is a very rewarding part of the job of being a financial adviser and it is something that I really enjoy doing.
