Our practice has professional indemnity insurance, to provide you with the assurance that we will provide the best service, and guarantee to provide client satisfaction. We also have public liability insurance, and can provide audit insurance for an extra cost.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

It began with an interest in business from a management point of view, progressed to focus on tax, accounting and audit, specialization in SMSFs and expansion into financial advisory services.

Many of our clients have become friends over the years. For privacy reasons I cannot disclose any customer stories. Confidentiality is extremely important to our firm.

Ask about qualifications, pricing, and serviceability (turn around time).  Ask about your professional's fields of expertise to ensure your service provider is qualified to advise on your circumstances.

The most common questions we are asked are related to providing advice on tax minimization. We answer specifically to each client depending on the circumstances. Obviously it is important to understand the law relating to tax so we explain these so clients understand what they can do to achieve their goals.

We always have time to talk to clients. We have loyal satisfied clients, most of whom have been with us since the practice began. All of our staff are highly qualified in tax, accounting, auditing and bookkeeping. We attend continuing professional education courses throughout the year, to ensure our knowledge and skills are up to date with legislation and other changes.

We pride ourselves on providing a personalized quality service at competitive prices. Our staff are dedicated and experienced in all aspects of corporate and public accounting and we provide continuous online support through phone or email. We will also travel to visit our clients and offer after hour and Saturday appointments.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

What type and size business you have, ABN number, annual turnover average, your requirements specified, e.g. bookkeeping, accounting/ tax preparation. For SMSF clients, the fund's investments mix, whether it is in accumulation or pension mode or both. For financial planning, we will need to have a meeting first to establish what your specific needs are.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Have your TFN, Medicare number, private health statement, payment summaries and receipts for deductions (or a written list) available for appointments. We will provide a questionnaire at interview.  2. Have your business records computerized if possible on a software program like Excel spreadsheet (income and expenses) or Cashflow Manager, MYOB, Intuit or Xero. Bring the data on a pen drive for first appointment, or upload to secure FTP.  3. Keep records up to date, if you need help doing this just ask. You are the expert in your profession, we are the experts with your books.

We provide the convenience of a variety of consultation solutions: including over the phone, via email, Dropbox or by appointment. Our charges are reasonable for our professional services. Our first priority is helping our clients achieve their goals.

We usually set quotes for accounting and audit after consultation with clients. Bookkeeping is charged on an hourly basis. We invoice for payment, and accept EFT transactions.

We are an accounting firm that caters for all aspects of our clients financial needs, whether it be minimizing personal tax, providing solutions for small business or planning for retirement.  We also specialize in SMSF setups, administration and audit.

Our firm is an IPA public practice, with a registered tax agent, an SMSF specialist advisor and SMSF specialist auditor, and an ASIC registered SMSF auditor. We have extensive experience in both corporate business and public accounting enabling us to offer a holistic approach to business solutions.
