Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I have professional indemnity insurance through the Australian Celebrants Association, and I aim to find you a replacement celebrant if I am unable to fulfil my duties for any reason.  Please note, this has never happened!

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

Celebrancy was suggested to to me by a friend whom I had helped during a tense period of pre-wedding nerves.  I had a calming influence on this friend, and also helped iron out some of the finer details.  This friend suggested I should consider working in the field... and here I am!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I once worked with a couple who wanted a Star Wars themed wedding.  This was completely unknown to their guests, and when the bride and groom walked in, flanked by storm-troppers, there was an audible 'gasp'.

I love EVERYTHING about this ob - meeting new people, writing the ceremony, delivering it on the day - it is like a match made in heaven.

Q: Tell me a bit about you.  A: I’m a dog loving, cyclist, who used to be a journalist for music and lifestyle magazines in England.  I’m terrified of cane toads.  For 15 years I’ve been a Project Manager as well as a celebrant for the past five.  I moved to Brisbane in June 2015 with my dog.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I have a lot of experience in this field.  I have a passion for making sure my clients are happy with the ceremony I deliver. I am trustworthy and have worked in the Not For Profit sector for most of my life as a Project Manager.  I've delivered hundreds of ceremonies and put my all in to every single one.

Hiring me as your celebrant means choosing someone who believes passionately in what they do, and tries very very hard to make your ceremony truly unique and personalised to you.  I am proud of the service I deliver, and put my heart in to ensuring I do a really good job to make your day truly unique and memorable.

Please provide location, date and time of wedding.  This will help to ensure Roxy is available before she provides a quote to you.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Do you research in to what kind of celebrant you want. 2. Don't go for the cheapest just because they're cheap.  You may end up with a ceremony with is forgettable, or just really poorly presented. 3. Arrange to meet your celebrant at a mutually convenient location

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

I do not currently offer any special offers.  However, I charge less than most celebrants for any travel, asking for reimbursement of costs only for travel beyond 60kms of Brisbane CBD.

Roxy is not the cheapest, but nor is she the most expensive.  She charges what she thinks she is worth, and what you get is bucket-loads of experience, a real passion and desire to make your ceremony unique, and a good, fun person to deal with.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I have delivered weddings to a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds, from the culturally diverse to the 'really out there'.  Nothing phases me.  I have delivered multiple same sex marriages in the UK, and I look forward to Australia embracing a change in the law.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have been delivering weddings since 2011, both in the UK and Australia. I am a Commonwealth Qualified Celebrant and registered with the Attorney General.  I worked as a journalist for a number of years, and am a Prince II qualified project manager, so is organised and creative. Plus, I'm just a nice, normal, warm and friendly person with lots of creative ideas.
