Yes, I am fully insured. I have been since I started. I totally guarantee my work, so have never had to use my insurance.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I have worked in accounting since I did work experience at school. I then went on to college and did my Advanced Business Diploma. I have worked in Banks all over the world. When I was pregnant with my first, I did my cert 1v in Bookkeeping and accounting. That way I could be around if the kids.

I started doing some work for some Mechanics over 3 years ago. They are great guys. My husband had wanted to buy a ute for over a year, bit I only gave him a limited amount of money. He managed to buy a ute for half the price as it had engine problems. The boys fixed it in 2 days at a great price

To enable the right professional service for hire, a customer should ask;  What accounting software do you have experience with?  What experience & education you have?

What products have GST and how often must you report it?  Most products have GST. However, some don't. E.g fresh food, water, milk, bank fees.  You can choose to report monthly, quarlely and even yearly.

Before giving a quote to a customer, I need to know;  What accounting package you use?  Where are you situated? So we can arrange a meeting.  Do you have employees?

You will be saving money by;  Having a correct file so you know at any moment in time, your know your profits and losses.   Having a correct profit and loss means that you can really concentrate on areas of improvement.  Know what you want and I will do it for you.

Ok, for the first 2 hours I can charge $40 per hour for new customers. After that it is $60 per hour

I only charge for the work completed, not the actual service, which many Bookkeepers do. I am very sharp and efficient.

$60 per hour I believe that an hourly rate should be charged, that way you only pay for the work that has been completed. For example, BAS might only take 30 minutes

Usually taking on Businesses that are in a pretty bad place. I usually have to delve deep into what problems are occuring, why and how to fix them. Usually people's business requirements take up all of their time, not leaving much to concentrate on the core of the business, Bookkeeping.
