Our business is insured for public liability, Victorian plumbers insurance and all work requiring a certificate of compliance through the plumbing industry commission will guarantee our workmanship and product warranty for a minimum period of 6 years.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I grew up with a single mother and when my mother was renovating a house I became interested in the works of plumbing, later the opportunity arose to become a plumbing apprentice and I haven't looked back since. I enjoy trying to become knowledgeable in anything I become interested in, the industry of gas servicing is a lot more challenging and requires patience and steady hands and I really enjoy the challenges.

A  previous clients 4-5 year old son was intrigued with the job I had to perform on this particular day and had asked if he could assist me in the works, I has happy to oblige so he spent the whole afternoon at my side handing me tools and equipment he thought were required, I later found out he had asked his mother and father when I would be returning to complete more work, he was a great companion to have for the day and really enjoyed learning new things and made the day a lot more pleasant and fun.

Building a relationship with my clients, you spend a large portion of your day working, so its nice to interact with people especially when you feel that attending a job becomes more like a visit to a friends place.

Would we be willing to perform further work for them or others they may know. We are happy to help and provide a service for anyone that requests us, if a client is happy and comfortable with you, then you are naturally happy and comfortable to provide a service for them.

Having operated as a business for 6 years and being in the industry for over 16 years we have built up a great repour and long term relationship with a clients. Becoming knowledgeable in the industry and always furthering our education in plumbing and gas fitting allows us to be reliable and concise.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Budget is the most important aspect as this can dictate whether the requested quotation is achievable. Options you are willing to consider, as plumbing is regulated by standards, not everything is achievable so you need to be willing to compromise. Time frame of the requested works to be quoted, if the work is of a large scale and the requirement to complete the work is close, it will save you some time by being informed that our business may not be able to accommodate you that soon.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

- Research products and brands, budget items may save you money initially but not in the long run. - Be willing to work, e.g. : a gas pipe repair job may require some manual digging, complete as much as you can complete and save some cost on labour. - Decisiveness, making changes once work has commenced can be costly. - Always enquire about the range of products available for your particular job request.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

All job requests sent through oneflare can obtain a 5% discount on quoted works and a standard call out fee on weekends between the hours of 8am and 3pm (Sat - Sun) Excluding public holidays. We do provide small discounts for multiple servicing provided on the same premises.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

We do not charge for travel to site, only once work is to be commenced, then the clock starts. If the job is bigger then a standard callout (1st hour on site), a quotation will be issued for the required time. Clients also have the ability to provide their own Australian standards approved materials and products for the required works requested.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Our services are charged on a callout basis which covers the first hour on site, only if work is required and can be performed within that first hour, otherwise a free of charge quotation will be provided. So unless there is works to be completed, there will be no charge for attending site.

With the ability to attend to many requests in respect to general gas servicing and gas installation, Bellarine GAS specialises in all maintenance from domestic to commercial applications. We pride ourselves on committing to finding a resolve, an appliance replacement is our last intention.
