Sugar Cloud Cakes Bakery And Cake Shop

Born and raised in Indonesia until I was 12 then migrated to Australia, I have been blessed with diverse cultures of both sides of the world and proud to call Australia my second home. Sugar Cloud Cakes started out as a hobby with passion and love of baking and cooking. The love for baking and cooking has always been in my family. I love seeing my grandma’s and mom’s baking and cooking. I love how my mom can fill up a whole table full of delicious food and cakes on our birthdays and other special events. I love watching her bake one of the most famous Indonesian layer spice cake that got the whole town (literally the whole town) talking about it. I feel very blessed to be able to learn from the greatest bakers and home cooks in my family. The passion for cooking and baking didn’t ignite in me until I was at University. Then my skills started to build up from there. Self taught at first by going through magazines and then to some of my favourite chef’s recipe books. Then just before I got married I just adored sugar arts until today. Most of my creations has been inspired by many chefs and cake artists locally and around the world. I really appreciate their talent and their dedication to their creations. I have been quite lucky and blessed to be able to work and trained with great artists in Australia and a few from overseas. Working part time as well as being a mom and wife, after 2 years my Sugar Cloud Cakes is blossoming and growing. With my girls and husband being my biggest fans of my creation their support means the world to me. It’s always a great privilege to create many great cakes and sweets to help celebrate many special moments for friends, family and many of my customers.
