Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes and Yes. All of my products come with their own warranty. I've never had a single electrical part (light switch, fan, power point) break, but I would return for free to diagnose the issue if they did.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I didn't really enjoy school so I decided to work with my hands and become a tradesman. As it turned out there's actually a great deal of schooling required to become an electrician. haha. But I stuck with it and still enjoy it 12 years later

Recently I had a customer call me late in the evening, his cameras had dropped offline from his network. So I remotely logged into his computer with his permission to determine and correct the issue. The next time I seen him he told that he'd never seen a tradesman go so above and beyond.

The satisfaction of a happy customer. Customer service is a huge deal for me and I've been known to go above and below to make sure my customers are happy. Things like taking their calls at 8,9,10pm or squeezing a visit in to see them if they are having issues with something

I think licencing is a big deal...if the person your hiring is not licensed you should be looking for another trade. Also I think reviews and referrals are great to. If I plan to hire a trade I look for reviews not only on Oneflare but on google also

Depending on what's being installed it could be a technical question about the product or just a general question about how I plan to complete the install. I just try to explain the best way I can to give the customer a better understanding of the answer to their question

I've had numerous new customers feel comfortable enough to leave me alone in their homes. To me this is the best feeling as I know they trust me. I always strive to let the customers know the day before the job I'm still coming and I always try to arrive at least 10 mins before quoted starting time

I'm a small owner operated business focused on customer service and providing quality products to customers, I don't cut corners or install poor quality parts to my customers.

- Is the home single or double storey. - Is the home brick or weather board - Approximate age of home - Is there access inside the ceiling - A photo of the current light switches or power powers (so i can match them if I'm installing new items)

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

- If you require ceiling fans installed perhaps pre assembling the blades to the motor. - If there's an area I'm required to work in, moving furniture or items before I arrive may help - Please let me know before I arrive if there's another task besides the quoted job you'd like done.

I try to keep my pricing as competitive as possible, however I do not put myself in a position where the quality of the items I'm supplying suffers. I've built a loyal customer base because I use quality parts that I trust

How do you normally charge for your service?

This really depends on the service requested. For a large job with multiple days required I would normally charge per hour but I would give the customer a good idea of expected time frame, If I do happen to finish faster than expected I'm more than happy to offer a discount.

At this particular stage I'm currently installing quite a lot of Security and CCTV systems for customers. I enjoy doing these types of jobs because I'm helping to make customers feel safe and their homes secure, I also enjoy installing home entertainment as it's a fast changing industry

I've been a A grade electrician for the past 8 years and have been a registered electrical contractor for the last 5 of those. Having worked in both commercial and domestic industries I've acquired a large range of skills.
