How did you decide to get into your line of work?

The owners of Surfers Inkspot had a passion for print.  Surfers Inkspot was established in 1973.  Jim Kinsel is still the owner, and is still supplying quality print to our clients.

We were confronted with a job, that did not want to work for us, due to a new product.  Our production team did trial and error tactics until we found a solution to give our client the finish that they were wanting.  The client was ever so greatful.  No additional costs were imposed on our client.

I just love to help clients with working out what they need in print terms, and helping them through the processes.  That is, selecting a suitable stock, helping with art if required, explaining the processes involved to produce the item. Keeping the client up to date with their work here with us.

Ha, ha.  We always get asked if we fill in cartridges, but no, we do not.  Sorry.  The other popular question is 'How soon can I have this job'?  Which we then can check with production and give an ETA.

Large Offset and Digital Printer.  Also with in-house design.  We print brochures, magazines, presentation folders, letterheads, business cards, stickers, key card holders, boxes, envelopes, shelf woblers and more.  In-house die-cutting, folding, drilling, padding, stitching and cello glazing etc.

Please phone to discuss if you are unsure of the specifications.  We need to know stock, colours, single or double sided, quantity, size, delivery point, finishes required and any additional requirements.

If you are supplying print files - Supply as a print ready PDF with 3mm bleed in CMYK and 300dpi.  Clients are always welcome to phone and speak with our pre-press team for any assistance required.

How do you normally charge for your service?

COD clients do require to pay 50% depsit, then 50% on completion.  If you have ordered several jobs, and plan to do so on a regular basis (monthly), then we can offer you a 30day account.  You would require to fill out a credit application form.

We specialise in digital and offset printing.  That means we can do small to very large print runs.  We can recommend the most economical choice to each client, depending on their job.
